eagles66
The Texas High boys upset the Mt. Pleasant Tigers tonight by a score of 46-35 in MP. The Texas High sub varsity teams also won. I heard that the Texas High girls beat the MP girls in Texarkana tonight by a score of 49-43. That would make the Texas High girls the 14-4A champions. The Texas High girls did win the 14-4A title last night. This is the first district title ever for the Texas High in girls basketball.

eagles66
The long district losing string is over for the S. Springs boys. They defeated the Hallsville Bobcats last night by a score of 59-55. Mavchamp
wow....that's a damaging loss for the Bobcats. I'm sure it has PT licking their chops to steal that #4 spot.

Marshall looks to be the "cream of the crop" for the 14-4A boys. Texas High has moved up two from the JV and that has helped them with their lack of height on the varsity. MaravichVSChitwood
Its looking like Marshall will be the number 1 seed. Number 2 seed is still up in the air between MP, T-High and potentially Hallsville and PT (if they win out and the previous lose out).  I think the district finishes up as this: 1) Marshall 2) MP 3) T-High 4) Hallsville  I am not sure what the playoffs will be because I don't know the district records of: Wylie, Wylie East, Lucas Lovejoy, Dennison, Greenville, Sherman, McKinney North and Royse City. Mavchamp
Final Girls Standings Texas High 25-3, 9-1 Mount Pleasant 21-6, 8-2 Sulphur Springs 23-11, 6-4 Pine Tree 17-11, 5-5 Hallsville 11-19, 2-8 Marshall 2-25, 0-10  BI-DISTRICT PLAYOFFS Texas High Vs. Wylie Mt. Pleasant Vs. Lucas Lovejoy Sherman beat Sulphur Springs 63-44 Mckinney North beat Pine Tree 78-26    -----------------------------------------------------------------------   Boys Standings Marshall 24-8, 8-1 Mount Pleasant 18-12, 5-4 Texas High 14-13, 5-4 Hallsville 12-17, 4-5 Pine Tree 11-19, 4-5 Sulphur Springs 7-25, 1-8  Tonight's regular season finales Marshall Vs. Sulphur Springs (meaningless game for both. Marshall has clinched the title. SS has been eliminated)  Texas High Vs. Hallsville- Huge game for both. Tex high clinches with a win, but a loss could make things messy depending on the MP/PT game  Pine Tree Vs. Mt. Pleasant- Also a huge game. A MP win clinches for the tigers. A PT win coupled with the Tex/Hallsville game could make for some tie breaking for the district
MaravichVSChitwood
T-High and MP both won last night. MP and T-High wrap up 2nd and 3rd in District 14-4A while Hallsville and PT will have to square off to see who takes the 4th spot. Â Anyone know the playoff matchups?? I know there were a couple of Lovejoy scouts in the stands at MP last night.

sportsstud
Lovejoy actually lost to Wylie to lose undefeated status and no matter the outcome of Tuesday will be first and play the winner of Hallsville-Pine Tree. The two split during the regular season and will have to play a fourth-place play-in game later this week. McKinney North finished in second place and is currently 19-9 overall and was 11-3 in district play. Wylie finished in third place no matter the outcome of Tuesday's game against rival Wylie East at 13-18 and 9-4 in district play. McKinney North would face the third-place team from District 14-4A, while Wylie would face the second-place team from 14-4A. This district also has a fourth-place play-in game between Royse City and Sherman at a time, date and location to be determined. Â 14-4A standings: Marshall 9-1; Mount Pleasant 6-4; Texas High 6-4; Hallsville 4-6; Pine Tree 4-6; Sulphur Springs 1-9. Â Lovejoy scouts were at Mount Pleasant to scout Pine Tree, so all in all, not one of the four games is definite until the end of the wk. Â Prediction: Lovejoy vs. Hallsville (football rematch); McKinney North vs. T. High; Wylie vs. Mount Pleasant; Marshall vs. Sherman

Dont know about McKinney North, but any 2nd place team out of that district will be solid... Definitely dont know about t-high potential???... very undersized... no real threat inside... very average guard play... IMO they have done a lot this season with very little... credit kids hustle and effort and coaching...
