Fish fryer

Okay, I'm debating here. My sister has one of those things, looks like a humongous mess to clean up...course it's outside. I've read different issues on them, as you have to keep pushing a red button or something or another.

 

Or do I just use a large open pot? At this point, I'm leaning towards the pot.

 

Obviously it'll be whole catfish, eating size... nothing overly large.

$50 bucks you can get a cooker that has a large aluminum pot and a basket with a handel. Much lighter to handle when its cleanup time. You don't have to keep pushing no button. You just turn on the gas,adjust the flow and light it. The only thing that's the least bit touchy is if its windy you either have to position it away from the wind or adjust an air restricter valve but you git used to this real quick. Oh yeah,If you are brewin fermented cornstock in a large copper tank don't let contents git over 230 degrees F.. It will change your life and the footprint of your propertie lines if you do this. Heard something the other day... need to try and stay away from aluminum pans/pots as it causes Alzheimers... anybody heard of that?

Maybe I heard something bout it but forgot? Caint remember
