sawemoff
Also dark horse is Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville. He was #6 on ESPN pre-season watch list. People are expecting him to have a great season, especially with their schedule. He has no excuse not to finish the season with at least a seat in NY. cats69
Espns quest to ruin Manziel has been hilarious. To hear Lou Holtz attack him for wearing a freaking visor... Oh and the day David Ash wins a heisman, the world must end. That's a joke

Coach Rab
Espns quest to ruin Manziel has been hilarious. To hear Lou Holtz attack him for wearing a freaking visor... Oh and the day David Ash wins a heisman, the world must end. That's a joke ESPN isn't trying to ruin him. He is good tv. Everyone of them start off with "he is a heck of a football player." "Amazing player." "He is the most dynamic football player that we have seen at that position since ______". He is the first Heisman to win the award, then go stupid in an era where everyone has a camera all of the time and can post it instantly that anyone in the world can see it immediately and make judgement. I could start a blog and get 100 followers and be considered a legitimate news source for some networks. What does that say? It says everyone is a reporter now. Facebook is as good as FOX News. If Johnny wants out of the negative light and into the positive, then QUIT DOING STUPID __________! PERIOD. You want ESPN off of your back? Quit getting unsportsmanlike penalties. Quit going to Austin for your beer binges at the age of 20. Don't throw hook em horns at a concert with 1000s of people there. Don't get in bar fights. Don't say you hate the town you play in. Don't sign autographs for people trying to force their will on you. YOU ARE A CELEBRITY! YOU WON THE HEISMAN JUST LIKE REGGIE BUSH, TIM TEBOW, MATT LEINHERT, etc etc etc. THEY HANDLED THE CELEBRITY FINE DESPITE THE NEGATIVE PRESS SURROUNDING THEM. TMZ IS YOUR ENEMY, MAKE ESPN YOUR FRIEND. How do you do this? Same way as last year, make your stupidity go away and only show up on the field. BigRedBear
Lache Seastrunk began his Heisman campaign with limited action but managed a decent stat line ;) 11 att 111 yds 10.1 avg 2 tds How is Bridgewater a dark horse when every time they mention his name Heisman Hopeful is said in front of it. O and Ash should never be mentioned with Heisman again....he's straight trash.
h-town12
Lache is good. Must be the shoes! Speaking of espn, it's ridiculous someone like mark may, who had 2 DUIs in college, along with resisting arrest and inciting a riot charges, is launching this "shame to the game" campaign. The hypocrisy is deep at espn. One of the analysts said something about Tebow would never do something like get a personal foul to hurt his team. Guess they conveniently forgot the gator chomp he did when playing against OU.

All anyone is asking is for Manziel to pretend like he respects anyone.
Coach Rab
Just a thought. What if Deion Sanders approached Johnny to be a mentor. Think he would be like Dez and basically reject help or embrace it and become a better student until he goes pro?

All good players show emotion and get into the game.

You guys are really starting to reach to protect him.

Coach Rab
You're completely missing the point.I believe what you are trying to get at is ESPN is unfairly comparing Manziel to the person who would be a role model to a lot of Catholic priests. Right? Some commentators on ESPN are reaching. Their negative criticism of him is understood, but he really did nothing but score 3 TDs and talk trash in the 20 mins he played. He got the penalty and benching he deserved for the scoreboard thing. It was just too soon after the summer of Johnny Kardashian to act crazy like that. No I get that you think it's unfair for him and that they are getting carried away with Manziel mania. I totally agree. That's why I wish the guy would just play ball and cut the ####. sawemoff
This FSU QB..17/18 (one incompletion should have been a catch if they had reviewed it) 240 yds, 3TD 5 rush for 15 yds and a TD. RS Freshman. Some difficult throws too.
GigEmWhoop
I'm sick of all of the jealousy driven flack Johnny is getting. On the Rice "taunting", he was responding to a Rice player giving him an obscene gesture, which of course the cameras didn't catch. A Rice player even said on another occasion where he was "taunting" he told the Rice LB "Nice hit". Everyone needs to stop letting their jealousy of Johnny & A&M get in the way of THE TRUTH. HE IS THE BEST PLAYER(possibly ever) IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. PERIOD.
