PTBooster
Thanks to all the Teams, Coaches and Supporters that played in and watched the High School Warm Up this past weekend. The weather was great and all 33 teams played their guarantee of four games. Henderson lost their first bracket game and wound up playing a total of 11 games. Coach Vestal said he and his players were pretty tired after the last game (Championship) with Hallsville. Thanks to the Umpires for a great job throughout the Tournament. Thanks to all of the LGSA workers who helped make the Event a resounding success. Special thanks to our Cindi Hall, who performed her usual Awesome Job as Tournament Director. Thanks to Jack Stallard of Longview News Journal for publicizing the Event on Friday in the LNJ and also the Marshall Messenger. He also had action pictures from Saturday play in both papers on Sunday. We appreciate you Jack for all you do for LGSA. As always, the City (Ricardo and the Field Crew) kept the fields in top shape for all of the games. Covering the infields early in the week allowed the Tournament to be played. Thanks to the City (PARD) for your support. Congratulations to undefeated Hallsville, Tournament Champs ; Henderson, Runner Up ; Tatum, Third Place ; Elkhart, Fourth Place ; North Lamar and Lindale, Fifth Place Tie. This was the Best Event we have had in the 4-year History of the Warm Up. Looking forward to the 5th Warm Up, the weekend before the UIL first practice date. I think that will be January 9-10, 2015 with practice to start on Friday, January 16. We will start sending our Warm Up Tournament info in early October. See you next year.
