Ringside Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Home from a very enjoyable game. Was very good for Waskom to play a very scrappy defense. Halftime adjustments showed on both offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Crawford had very good linebackers that flew to the ball really well. Not hard to see why they did not lose any games this year. Fundamentally sound, but as some thought, the speed of Waskom was too much for them. Not the first time this year that Waskom had a scoop and score taken away from them. Would have to see it more on film, but no way was the poor #6 down when he fumbled. He might not have been completely conscious, but he was not down. KJ had it picked up ready to take it to the house, and referee stops the play. At least #6 got to carry the ball on his last play of the season. There was some pretty hard hits out there tonight. Everybody is excited about the showdown next weekend. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and there will be another Smoaky.com East Texas reunion over in Carthage. I expect to see several points scored in this one!
