73, do you mean 3A DI?

The thing is, something reasonable will be done for Teague, Elkhart, Westwood. Those teams to the north make a lot of since.

Didn't Corrigan-Camden turn in 300?

My bad was thinking 481.Yoe do you think Mcgregor will stay with yall or go into a Waco area district. We used to be in the same district with McGregor,West and Hillsboro back in the day.

Unfortunately, the UIL did not officially release the enrollment numbers for each school. We just have to go by what we have at this point.

With the size of 3A DI decreasing, it is impossible to get everyone in either 7 or 8 team districts based on the teams I am currently seeing being in the new 3A DI. The division cutoff number and top 3A DI number was a touch higher than predicted, and that has caused a few more teams to stay down in DII that were originally predicted to jump up (Rogers being an example). Right now, I see around 96 teams being in 3A DI football, give or take a few. You are going to see an average of 6 teams per district, some with more and some with less. I'm just going by the teams that have their numbers reported and what we have available, and that includes a large majority of the schools.

With regards to McGregor, it's a tough call. They are the northern most team in D13 right now, and are relatively close to both West & Hillsboro. However, I have a feeling they just stay in the current D13 and West & Hillsboro head north with the likes of Grandview & Whitney. Now, that would probably mean Teague would have to most certainly join teams from the north. I am going to try and put a mock DI alignment together tomorrow and see how it looks.

Now, looking at the current DI districts:

- Losing 26 teams based on new cutoff numbers

- Adding roughly 12 from 3A & 2A DII

Moving down from 3A:
Glen Rose - 462
Hillsboro - 457.5
Lyford - 452
Mineola - 447
Rockdale - 447
West - 441.5
Shallowater - 437
Buna - 413
Moving up from DII:
Life Oak Cliff
Scurry-Rosser
Universal City Randolph
Hitchcock
Quitman
Now, there are a few schools I have not seen enrollment data on, so you could possibly add a few to this, which is why I originally had 4-5 moving up from DII. There were 109 schools in 2013. The fact of the matter is, there are more schools moving out.

Sending a school Like West 32 minutes away from Grandview into East Texas. That would be a long night of dart throwing.
Take out McGregor, add West and Hillsboro and Teague theres 12-2A
Grandview
Hillsboro
West
Glen Rose
Whitney
Red Oak Life
Teague
McGregor and Troy are a combined package I believe UIL wont split them up.
13-2A
Cameron Yoe
Rockdale
Lago Vista
Academy
Troy
McGregor

Will take out quitman and winnsboro in 7-2A, put in Elkhart and Westwood

7-2A
Scurry-Rosser
Eustace
Kemp
Malakoff
Elkhart
Westwood

Looks good beyond!

Teague could go either direction

How many schools total is real key are there 96? Or 100 in state? If so then off 16 dists 4 could be 7 teamers

Anothe dist could be

Mineola

Quitman

Wiinsboro

Sunnyvale

Caddo

Farmersville

I doubt this. There are 12 teams in Northeast Texas that will probably be broken into 2 districts of 6 -

Jefferson, New Boston, Redwater, Daingerfield, Prairiland, Mt Vernon, Winnsboro, Quitman, Harmony, Mineola, White Oak, and Sabine.

That makes too much sense for the UIL to just split these 12 teams into 6 team districts.

District 8 REG 2

Jefferson, New Boston, Redwater, Daingerfield, Prairiland, Mt. Vernon

District 9 REG 3

Winnsboro, Quitman, Harmony, Mineola, White Oak, Sabine

beyondthebrink, I have added what you believe would work, and they all make since in terms of travel. Now something has to be done about D11 since there are no teams left. Who do you mix a match to put in that district.

That is a ? i do not have an answer for right now. could be a big mess.

Is there any way that Yoe could opt up and play in 4a? Just a thought.

Honkey, do you have some sort of insight where they're going to have 5 teams in a district? I thought the reasoning behind adding another classification was to make bigger districts since they are taking 4 teams to the playoffs. I know it happened in some districts throughout classifications where there were 4 teams in a district and all 4 went to the playoffs, but I thought they wanted to get rid of that scenario.
