lugnut
WOW Daze! I really don't think I would have posted this weak #### schedule. This post weakens your argument. Nothing impressive that I see here. You are making the Kilgore posts look very accurate about strength of schedule for Carthage. Or should say weakness of schedule. DawgDaze
Nothing weak about it. Just illustrating that this (2013) is the best offensive output Coach Surratt and the dogs have had since Surratt came here in 2007. Even beating the 2008 team that featured Dwight Smith and his amazing running ability.

Aggie98
Carthage has always had running backs. Kris Brigs was a very good one that I think went on to SMU. Saw some epic battles between these 2 schools. I kinda miss old Carthage Stadium and Sleepy Reynolds. A good man and great coach. I remember the good years of KHS football with coach Cameron and the bad ones with coach Jack Rushing then back to prosperity through the Coach Vallery years. Now I think coach Wood will lead us very well over the coming years. I really like how the Kilgore kids come back home to coach football for KHS. Glad to have former KHS QB, Rafe Mata, as our offensive coordinator. Aggie 98 will have to help me out with the rest of the KHS alumnus that are now on the staff. I don't have any kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews left, that are involved in KHS sports, so I've lost some of my inside informants. Looking forward to this game. Come on Friday! Coach Vallery planted a seed in Kilgore in 1995 that is still growing today. Many of the coaches that came over that year are still here. Some of those coach's kids and even grandkids have played or are playing for Kilgore now.... Jarod and Caleb Wood weren't even born yet when Head Coach Mike Wood came to Kilgore in 1995 as an assistant coach. On Friday, they will be the starting TE and DE for the Kilgore Bulldogs in the State Championship game in Jerry World. Starting sophomore linebacker, Mason Shelton, is the nephew of linebacker coach Chad Loper (KHS and KC alum) and grandson of Defensive Coordinator Les Loper. The kicker for this year's team is the younger brother of Rudy Galvan, who was Mr. Clutch in the '04 title run. The success of this program and staff stretches back many years and I believe it will culminate in another State Title for the Ragin Red Bulldogs! playmaker
YOU MUST BE A CRANDALL , I DONT BLAME YOU SINCE YOU HAVENT BEAT KAUFMAN IN SIX YEARS!!!! Remember when you had the game won and went for two and we intercepted and went 100 YDS. And won by one point!!!! I HAVE TWO FAVORITE TEAMS ........ KAUFMAN ....... AND WHOEVER IS PLAYING Crandall Lmao Oh no..definitely Kaufman fan. Didn't mean i liked Kilgore since they beat Kaufman just since we lost to them might as well lose to state champs. I've seen Carthage play twice..against Mexia about 3yrs ago and against Argyle couple yrs ago. They are impressive and may have the best coach in 3a. .I was expecting a team full of athletes just making plays but they are much more than that, very well coached and multiple sets and multiple motions .most of the time teams run motion to get extra body to play side but Carthage seamed to trick you by running plays away from motion side sometimes..thought that was pretty neat. Should be a heck of a game.
DLine06
Got a very interesting stat for you guys. Carthage's Coach Scott Surratt came to Carthage in 2007. Mike Wood came to Kilgore in 2011. In Scott Surratt's first 3 seasons Carthage went 38-5 including 2 State Championships. In Mike Wood's first (almost) 3 seasons Kilgore has gone 35-7 including two State Finals. Do people not realize that Coach Wood was the defensive coordinator when we won state in 2004!

TEDII
Yep we are one dimensional. That's right. We have no chance against Respect The K. Their offense well never let us on the field. They will possess the ball for all 48 minutes. We will do nothing but kick return the whole game. Dam why did I buy a ticket just to watch Kilgore's offense. I can't believe I wasted my money. Sorry Bogie you will not get to play this week the K is going to play their offense the whole game. LOL.
