Tues 4/15

Bullard @ Henderson

Kilgore @ CH

Spring Hill @ Gilmer

Lots of playoff implications happening on Tuesday.

For those schools that lost the Good Friday day off (bad weather make up day), does it have an effect on the scheduling of the Thursday games?

I believe Gilmer has clinched a playoff spot as well. They can finish no worse than 4th.

I think Gilmer will certainly get in, but as far as having clinched today, WHAT IF:

Bullard, Kilgore, and Chapel Hill win out?

Standings would be

Spring Hill 8-4

Kilgore 8-4

Gilmer 7-5

Bullard 7-5

Chapel Hill 7-5

Some one who is 7-5 is out, so I don't think Gilmer has clinched just yet.

In that scenario Gilmer would be in because they would look at records of the tied teams against each other. Gilmer swept Ch and would be 1-1 vs. Bullard for a 3-1 record. CH swept Bullard and lost both to Gilmer for a 2-2 record. Bullard lost both to CH and would be 1-1 against Gilmer for a 1-3 record. Is there a different tie breaker for 3 teams with same record?

Over the Dogs is sweet...unfortunately, the Panthers may be the District Champs...I can handle that...we will nail 'em in 7on7, if they play

So who would be the champs if Bullard beats SH and Kilgore beats gilmer?...

Champs? I think you would have 40 kids buying district champ patches for their letter jackets. I don't think they break ties in determining district champs.

Seeding? I have no idea how that would work out. Maybe something similar to what Snowbird described earlier.

If that scenario occurred, then based on head-to-heads and run differential it would have to be...

1. Kilgore

2. Spring Hill

3. Gilmer

But I don't know how they deal with tie-breakers in district standings.

Not sure about this district but other districts have a mini type of tournament to break three way ties.

A, B, C

Team A wins coin toss

B and C play each other, winner gets A... Loser is out.

Something like that I've seen last couple of seasons. It's weird.

Much will be known tomorrow night...time to kick butt & take names

Spring Hill and Bullard don't play until Thursday this week. Don't know why, but that's how it is scheduled.

Final results will take a couple of more days of waiting.

Kilgore and Gilmer don't play until Thursday either. I think all the schools have testing this week.

This is the day that decides ...Buckeyes @ Home & giving the Kilgore Bulldogs a spanking...& maybe getting real lucky...Bullard defeating Spring Hill...how sweet would that be!

Now hold up if my memory serves me correctly didn't Kilgore give Gilmer a spanking the first gm? Kilgore has gilmer's number this yr in everything!
