Hookemhorns88
Mr. Guarnere, who was a member of the 101st Airborne, 506th PIR, Easy Company, that gained worldwide fame during the invasion of France, the Battle of the Bulge, and later in Steve Ambrose's, Band of Brothers, book and mini-series, passed away March 8, 2014 at the age of 90. Hookemhorns88
Provided is the tombstone of Warren "Skip" Muck of the same unit as "Wild Bill" Guarnere. He and Guarnere are featured together in the Band of Brothers where they put a machine gun nest out of commission near Nuenen, Holland during Operation Market Garden. Muck was later killed in the Ardennes by a mortar round. This is his resting rest place in Luxembourg National Cemetery. I took this photo a couple of years ago. It was a very moving experience to be there among these brave men.
