WP4L
And now, because I plan to sleep in this weekend, here's Next Week's This Week in District 15-5A: Man, I'm gonna miss being at the top of these things. Here's Hallsville's chance to really show their stuff. Huge game for them against Texas High. I'd say PT-Marshall is pretty important as well. The Real Mavfan
I wish Greenville was playing Pine Tree this week. It has been fun watching their turn around season this year. How great would it have been for them to have a legit chance at being 4-1 and 2-0 in district. But...thats not the case. Longview, Marshall and Sulphur Springs in blowouts. The Hallsville/Texas High game is no doubt the game of the week. Really think the Tigers are the better team but Hallsville wont go down without a fight. If that game is played similarly to the Hallsville/Marshall game and the Cats play cleanly it wouldnt surprise me if they pull it out. HUGE game for playoff position
Greenville
To be honest, I'm kinda glad to get Longview out of the way early. Gives the Lions a full half-season to get their confidence back. If you gotta play the juggernaut, be done with them earlier rather than later. Bobcat76
The Hallsville vs Texas High game is another tough one to predict... No common opponents yet... THigh lost to Whitehouse 38-35 & to Arkansas 20-14 & beat Kilgore (19-13) & SS (42-29) Whitehouse is 3-1 (beat THigh, Chapel Hill 52-42 & SS 56-35, lost to Jn Tyler 52-17) Akansas is 2-2 (beat THigh & L Eylau 16-13, lost to Parkway 31-14 & Pine Bluff 40-21) Hallsville's loss was to Nac (37-36) - Wins are Carthage who is weak in 4-A this year, and Athens (4-A also) & Marshall (21-19) Nac is 4-0 - beat Kilgore (27-25), Hallsville, Carthage (34-14) & Lufkin (38-35) History is on Texas High side... They usually beat up on the Bobcats... The game is in Texarkana - any bold prognosticators... I think it will be vey close... to close to call... Mavchamp
Lobos nuthg to be afraid this year...it's all about 16 5a this year Lobos are the Lobos. Nuff said. But 16-5A is beast...... Ennis, JT, Nac, Lufkin..... all capable of dominating just about anyone in 15-5A IMHO.
The Real Mavfan
I know scores between common opponents isnt always a good comparison but it does make you think a bit. lufkin crushed longview. nac beat lufkin and barely beat hallsville. this has to at least bring up some doubts about whether hallsville may can hang with the lobos. LoboFan07
it does make you think a bit. Not really. Longview is already a completely different team from that first game vs Lp...and we'll be a completely different team in the last game of the season than they are now. They've gotten better week after week...We've seen the progression. And this isn't just because of whooping PT. Our defense has been producing turnovers every since the JT game which is encouraging considering we were ready to label this years' defense as the worst in King's era. Another thing, we have all of our players playing. And we'll get another key player back from injury on defense the week of the Marshall game. Pretty soon the only thing we'll be missing is Hasty but our running game hasnt been lacking all season.

LoboFan07
The D line playing pretty good...so who spot does French take when he comes back? French is a beast! Last couple of weeks. Would bet on TX High or Mount Pleasant. considering we were ready to label this years' defense as the worst in King's era. I think they still are really. If Longview had the same team we had in 2011 or last year even in this class....good Lord.

WP4L
The D line playing pretty good...so who spot does French take when he comes back? French is a beast!Been thinking about that all week. Sheridan, Lanier, McAdoo and Nelson have all been playing well as of late and even Qydarius Washington. The original starting lineup before French's injury was French at LE, Lanier at DT, Nelson/McAdoo at NG and Sheridan at RE. Sheridan will definitely keep his spot as he's leading the district in sacks I believe and his tfl stats are pretty impressive too. Personally, I'm all for French coming back around the Hallsville game if need be.
