We didn't lose that bad when I was there! Only games I can remember are the ones against Foster, and we lost both.

Foster was stacked back then! They had they legendary John McCray at tailback...Tyler McCrays' uncle or cousin I believe. You talking bout talent?? He was prolly the most gifted athlete never to suit up for Longview...except maybe freshman year. He played one year for PT after he got in trouble at Longview. He should have some of their records. Sad to see what he has become now.

Yep, I've always heard Foster had the better middle school team in the view. I'm not sure if that's still true of not..

They are most years. Helps that it's the biggest middle school in Longview. But a few years ago JMS was spitting out some good teams on a consistent basis before LISD redrew the MS lines.

Each MS has their role it seems. Foster and Judson usually provide position players imo. Coaches usually know what position those kids will play by the time they get to LHS. Forest Park on the other hand tends to provide the "athletes". When I was at LHS I couldn't tell you how many players i knew from FP that played one position in ms and ended up playing another position in hs.

Spring Hill middle has been a hub too as of late.

hell at Judson we lost to Foster 50-0 in 7th grade

Good lord.

We hardly ever loss during my JMS days. In fact we won city in 7th. In 8th, Foster won city on a last second td if I remember correctly. Think our only losses that year were Evangel and Foster.

Don't know the map of other districts, but if you live in a 15-5A city, you need to find shelter. Quick, but intense and damaging storm is heading your way. Roughly 25 minutes long, but 80+ mph winds and plenty of lightning. Anything not nailed down will be thrown around. I just had my porch swing hurled at my front door. Get inside and be safe.

About a third of what he said. In pictorial form.

Edit: I had the original set of helmets, pre-changes, those have been corrected. I do not have a clean pic of the Mount Pleasant helmet (their helmet says Tigers with some kind of swooping stripe under it), I'll change it once I find one.

I'm interested to see how the Greenville/Sulphur Springs game turns out. The 'Cats were major league struggling with the Tigers early on last night, before something happened and they turned on the jets.

Wouldn't shock me now after two weeks to see the top 4 in your picture stay that way (awesome job again there btw).

I really like these shiny metallic colors on the helmets. I wish our true helmets were that shiny. Good job, Greenville.

I think we all need to concede something after seeing the scores last night...... I think we all know it anyway.....

Seeing Hallsville struggle against a winless MP team

Seeing Texas High struggle against a winless PT team

Seeing Marshall get stomped into a mudhole by Longview

District 15-5A is simply not very good. Outside of the Lobos.... I don't see one single team that could beat any of the potential playoff teams from 16-5A.

I honestly don't think Marshall, Hallsville, Texas High, Greenville, or SS could beat JT, Lufkin, Nac, Ennis, or Whitehouse......

Disheartening unless you're a Lobo fan. But that's sure how it's looking IMHO.

Eh, I think the main thing is that every other team outside of Longview is unbelievably inconsistent. We were as well early on, but it's just a different level of football right now for the Lobos than what we saw in those first three weeks.

I can't figure out Hallsville and Texas High are all. And I know for a fact that Marshall is better than what the showed last night.
