Ore City vs Dekalb

These aren't excuses, just the truth, but we were already without our starting running back (probably for the year). Our #2 RB has been awesome in the first two games, but our starting QB was out against Hawkins after banging up his non-throwing shoulder. Our #2 RB is also our #2 QB, so when he moved to QB last week, we were down to #3 and #4 RB's, and everyone knows at this level there can be a pretty good drop off there. Regardless of all that, our offense played horrible against Hawkins. Time of possession was at least 3:1 and maybe 4:1 in favor of Hawkins. Our offense has to get things going this week, and it is on the kids to execute and protect the ball. Against Maud, we executed well, but didn't protect the ball. Against Hawkins, we did nothing well offensively.

But, thru 3 games, I am very proud of our defense. They have kept us in the game the past 2 weeks when the offense faltered. Hopefully, this is the week that we play well on both sides of the ball.
