North Lamar @ Princeton

Recommended Posts

LB did a great job of spying their QB. Paris QB is a good athlete. Paris has a heck of a team. Huge. Slobber knock the dog out of you. Somehow, Pittsburg hung in the game long enough to to pressure their offense. Wow!

I'm proud of the way the pirates played tonight

Does anybody know how Paris looked last night? These boys here in Princeton fell victim once again to a team they were heavy favorites to beat. Last year we lost to Anna after being a 42 point favorite & the next week we turned around played best game ever and won the district title. Just goes to show we are still working w/ 15, 16, 17 & 18 yr old kids and anything is possible

Yeah. Pittsburg played really well. Made some big plates and got lucky on a couple. Paris dropped a few passes. Their QB is a good athlete but not sure about QB. Paris defense got tired and it seemed that they were fighting among themselves. Pittsburg's defense played the best game of the year.

After watching the LE and Paris film I felt like Pitt would have a chance I looked back at that Hoof 87 yard TD that was called back which was very suspect and the few times we got deep inside the red zone and failed to score. Pitt also looked good against us. They were bigger along the lines IMO

Downtheline I agree Pitt defense played the best game of the year, now let's carry it over to the next game!

I am sure that big guy in the middle ( I think #75) gave them trouble. He was causing trouble for our O-line all night

Paris was definitely stale and let Pitt hang around for a half and get some confidence. Not making excuses, but Paris was playing without their backup running back (went out in 1st-half injury vs. Princeton), and they lost their 1st-string RB on the first series of 2nd half (when a score and 2-TD lead could have been a big difference maker). They had to go with a freshman at RB rest of the way, which made it easier to key on the QB.

Pitt defender went down on a vicious crackback block on that series, which stopped play for a few minutes. The momentum completely changed afterwards. Pitt scored 23 points on its next 3 series with some dumb Paris penalties, a couple of breaks on what should have been busted plays, and some inspired running by Sircharles Perkins. Pitt dominated line of scrimmage in 2nd half. The Paris O-line was a no-show. The yards/play was 4.5, lowest of the season (including the Argyle game).

Anyone who saw the Princeton-Paris game would have never believed that both teams would be held to 15 points in their next games. Maybe one of the teams, but not both on the same night.

Certainly opens the door wide for L-E now.

How do u think LE and Princeton match up

The Princeton Paris saw or the Princeton NL saw?

Haven't see the video from last night, but figure this:

  • The Princeton QB had thrown 1 INT all year...he throws 3 last night (including a couple of pick-6s) vs. NL.
  • The Princeton TE was all-world vs. Paris (12 catches for 199 yards). He catches 2 for 8 yards last night vs. NL.

The Princeton defense is vulnerable, but if they're firing on all cylinders on offense they're tough to stop. Better not look too far ahead. Despite the weak schedule and 2 bad losses, NL is next and will be bringing a 6-2 record into Texarkana Friday. The playoff scenarios could be mind-boggling for this district heading into Game 10.

I am not even going to get into how many players including our best RB that have been and are hurt. Pittsburg got some breaks and made some breaks. The Paris QB is playing out of position. It was a very entertaining game. I just hope we can put two good games back to back. At worse, we will have three district wins and maybe four. I think that LE will beat NL and Princeton.

What are the scenarios? I know you are on op of it.
