The charters are pretty good as usual, and Faith Family is currently ranked 8th, but it doesn't matter, they're not in the same part of the bracket as Hooks and couldn't meet until regionals.

Whitewright and Van Alstyne out of district 13 are both ranked in the mid-teens and one of them would be a potential regional quarterfinal opponent for the Hornets.

16-3A 15-3A

Daingerfield 6-0 Hooks 6-0
Mt Vernon 4-2 Dekalb 4-2
Queen City 4-2 Chisum 3-3
MP Chapel Hill 4-2 Prairiland 3-3
Hughes Springs 2-4 New Boston 3-3
Linden Kildare 1-5 Cooper 2-4
Pewitt 0-6
Redwater 0-6

Looking at first round matchups, it is wide open for 2-4 in each district. Pretty obvious that Hooks and DF have 1st place all but wrapped up.

It's crazy how people can't even give a little credit to a good Hooks team! UIL decides the districts and we have no control. They show up every night as the favorite and bring it every night! After Friday night, I can tell you they are getting better every night they play, so hopefully a weak district won't hurt them. So many pessimists out there! I guess Misery loves company! Just FYI they played four 4A teams (Atlanta, Bonham, Liberty Eylau, Bullard) in regular season and went 4-0! They very well could get beat in the playoffs because when the playoffs start, crazier things have happened. You have be a little lucky in basketball as well as good! Sometimes the ball doesn't bounce right and anybody can beat anybody if they get hot from the 3 Pt. line in today's game!

Hooks may have a shot at region. How about Brock, Ponder, Peaster this year in the other region

Region 2 is gonna be the toughest Region by far. Region 2 has 9 of the top 25 ranked teams according to TABC (Texas Association of Basketball Coaches). 4 of those teams are rated in the top 10. There will be some very good teams who may not make it past the second round and by the time you make it to the quater-finals they will all be very talented teams. The team that makes it out of this Region has a great shot a winning it all!!!

1) Brock

2) Ponder

8) Dallas Faith Family

10) Peaster

11) Whitesboro

12) Van Alstyne

13) Whitewright

16) Glen Rose

19) Hooks

Hooks a offing to fluke has a good shot. Truly the best Hooks team I have seen. I will tell u there is some monsters out there. You listed most of them . The one group that Cville has never one state in is last years 2A. Tough and several basket all oriented. Good luck

Hopefully Cooper can get it together. They could very easily be sitting in 2nd place in district right now instead of next to last. They've lost 3 games in district by a combined 7 points.. 2 point loss to P-land, 2 point loss to Chisum in a heartbreaker at the buzzer & a 3 point loss to Dekalb the other night.
