PLAYOFFS! Dallas @ Green Bay

Now here he is on the ground whether by contact or not and has his elbow CLEARLY on the ground, he lunges forward and the ball pops out, he was making a football move toward the goal line. The pass was completed because he is on the ground in control of the ball, the yankee replay official cannot see that because he is bending the rules to make it a incomplete pass.

You are correct. Win some lose some. Play for 60 minutes not the last two or three minutes.

everybody realizes that during those 60 mins that there were other plays that had in hand Dallas losing the game. we are just pointing out that the officials missed the call on the Dez catch. although that was only 1 play it was huge because of where they were in the game and it being 4th down. had it been at a different time during the game or a different down it wouldn't have been as huge of a call. we are also pointing out that we don't feel there was enough evidence or should i say the evidence wasn't looked at hard enough for them to overturn the call on the field.

dez-bryant-11.jpgBall firmly in his hand after he is down, he is down by contact because he is in contact with the defender. Clearly he is down and has control of the ball

.... except the process of catching the ball according to the rules hasn't been complete at that point ... then the ball pops loose and touches the ground ... :P

No, that ruling only applies to a runner ... it doesn't yet apply to a receiver who hasn't completed the reception ... all the way through hitting the ground. Down by contact only applies after competing a reception which he hadn't yet at that point ... ya follow?

So this means that if someone catches a ball runs 90 yards, and is tackled at the one, when the receiver falls to the ground and the ball pops loose it's an incomplete pass. That's your interpretation.

Hardly, in that example the receiver wasn't going to the ground on his way to making a catch as was the case according to the ruling of the officials in the Dez non-catch .....

This is a video of the Bengals-Chargers game, in which Dean Blandino, who has swore on his mother's grave that the process of possession continues long after you've secured the ball, apparently isn't very adamant about it earlier this year.

I bet he's hating the internet right now. Kind of like Senator Obama and President Obama.
