I told the Center Coach back in early January that we would meet in the regional final. I knew both squads would represent East Texas well this year. Don't let those scores fool you at all. The 3-0 score was after Center had played Saturday morning at 9:30 and then sat around all day Saturday, in Palestine, to play a final at 6pm........while Palestine rested at home. One goal was a pk and an own goal. 1-1 was at their place and they whipped up on us pretty well and we were lucky to win in pk's. No matter what happens East Texas will be represented at the state tourney this year!!! Good luck to Lufkin, Kilgore, Center and Palestine today.
