Hopefully Kilgore can get a 1 gm series with PG and u never know anything can happen!

1 game in Kilgore, Friday @ 7:00. It's probably going to be a slaughter, but at least it'll be in the friendly confines of Driller.

I'm not sure if PG wanted one game or a best-of-3.

Kilgore won both flips...for 1 game AND home-and-home site. It shouldn't matter, but there's always that slight chance of catching lightning in a bottle for a single game.

That's the only thing Kilgore will win in this match-up is the coin flip. But anything can happen!

It might rain out the state of Texas for 4 straight days and all the winners advance on a coin flip????

This is STAAR testing week. I've read, and re-read, guidelines on the UIL website about scheduling playoff games which read that you can't schedule a game the day a STAAR test is given to any student on a campus. Yet, I've seen some schools schedule series for Wednesday and giving STAAR that day. Can anyone explain how that's possible?

UIL posted that no games can be played on the day of STAAR testing even if all students are finished; therefore, therefore they have rescheduled the playoff series as follows:

Paris vs. Spring Hill

Game 1
Friday at Paris JC beginning at 5:00
Spring Hill is home team

Game 2
Friday at Paris JC beginning 30 minutes after Game 1
Paris is home team

Game 3 (if needed)
Saturday at Spring Hill HS beginning at 12:00
Flip for home team

If the weather forecasts are correct, it looks like there could be a mad scramble for playable fields, lots of one-gamers, and maybe a coin flip or two or a UIL waiver to complete next week.

You would like to think the UIL won't make half the state in baseball/softball flip a coin.

Seems like an extension of some sort would be granted if almost the entire eastern part of the state is rained out.

Doesn't high school baseball runs on a specific schedule so that state playoffs are at a certain date?
