16-4A Track & Field Meet...All About Them Buckeyes

They managed to get us part of the way out with Football Realignment but we are still around...results of District 16-4A Track Meet:

 

Varsity Boys...1) Gilmer 156, 2) Chapel Hill 128, 3) Kilgore 87, 4) Gladewater 76, 5) Spring Hill 62, 6) Bullard 45

 

Varsity Girls...1) Gilmer 220, 2) Chapel Hill 146, 3) Bullard 90, 4) Spring Hill 69, 5) Gladewater 41, 6) Kilgore 35

 

Area next week.

Did they drop the stick? If it's really gonna be all about them "buckeyes" they're gonna miss them points in state.

What happened to Gilmer 4 x 100? Dropped baton? I think they were the favorites in the Region.

Gilmer 4X100 dropped baton. Shame, as they were probably the favorite to win state.

 

However, Gilmer has reshuffled some kids and could take their 4X400 team to state. If they get 2 relays to state they still have a chance of winning it.

So Gilmer boys win 4A Region II track meet as well. Will take 2 Relays (4X200 & 4X400) to state. Will also take Kris Boyd in 100m & Nick Smith in 300m hurdles. Possible 60 points at state meet.

 

Gilmer Girls will take 4X200 & 4X400 to state also. and Megan Smith in 100m hurdles. They placed 4th overall at regional meet.

 

Not a bad weekend.
