mav01
Definitely something to be proud of! Yep. This may be one of the top districts in the state in terms of running backs from top to bottom. Wont be very many weeks of playing against avg or less rbs when district starts. Hale/ greenville Miller, Moore/ longview Hawkins/ SS Hardman/hallsville Haller, Mills/ Marshall Thigh has a good one as does Mt. P. Gonna be interesting to see the crazy rushing stats from these guys at end of year.

Greenville
Final Score: Royse City 60, Greenville 41. Carandal Hale had TD runs of (unofficial yardage) 76, 89, 89, and 78 yards. Or, 332 yards and 4 TD on 4 carries. I think he wound up with 6 carries or so. And so ends Greenville's attempt at Undefeatedosity.

Greenville
Is he hurt? Why only 6? Nope, not hurt. From what we could tell from the stands...read-option offense + a quarterback who wanted to run the ball most plays himself. (Trying to find a polite way to put it.) LoboFan07, check the top of the page. :) JV: Greenville 19, Royse City 7. Greenville JV is 1-0-1.

Greenville
Dallas Morning News has Hale all the way up to 13 carries, so I guess I missed some while fighting the MaxPreps scoring app. Didn't look like he had nearly that many from the stands. For the record, the DMN has those 13 carries going for 386 yards and 4 TDs. For the season, he's at 30 carries for 699 yards and 7 TDs. By comparison, the QB had 9 carries for 5 yards. So I owe him an apology for calling him a ball hog.
LoboFan07
386 yards alone is pretty beast like. Wow.

tomlandry
This week will help shed some light on the teams outside of the playoff hunt IMO: Greenville, Mount Pleasant, Pine Tree, and Sulphur Springs. Mount Pleasant will face Jacksonville who lost to Pine Tree. Pine Tree will play Kilgore who lost to Nacogdoches while Nacogdoches lost to Hallsville. Sulphur Springs will play Whitehouse who lost to Texas High. I realize the past performance of these teams against other opponents doesn't mean anything this week but it does provide some context. LoboFan07
Sulphur Springs will play Whitehouse who lost to Texas High. I think this one will really tell us something about these two teams. Whitehouse beat up on a very injured Chapel Hill team, and Sulphur Springs barely beat a terrible Sherman squad. I don't think either makes the playoffs this year but will be interesting just to see where the scoreline is.

Agreed, LoboFan07, have you changed any of your earlier predictions on playoff teams based on 15-5A's predistrict results?

Nope. Longview, Texas High, Marshall, Hallsville still is my pick. I think Marshall is improved, obviously. But they've played two poor teams and haven't been tested at all. We'll see how it goes. I still think TX High pulls it out at Grim when they face off.
