This will be Marshall's first road game since the season opener Vs. Royse City.

How our former opponents are doing

(5A) Royse City: beat North Forney 38-13 to improve to (3-2, 1-1)

(4A) Crandall: beat Ferris 34-0 to improve to (3-2, 0-0)

(6A) Arkansas High: lost to #2 Pine Bluff 40-0 (0-4, 0-1)

Looks like RC and Crandall are finding their grooves a little. RC will likely be a playoff team I think. I don't know enough about Crandall's district to make a prediction.... but their scores show they have worked out thier offensive problems.

Arkansas High..... I think they are MUCH better than their record shows. But they have lost to 2 state ranked teams. #2 Pine Bluff smacked them down hard last night. PB must be crazy good to shut AHS down. Something LE, Marshall, and Texas High didn't do.

Good luck to those 3 going forward!

What on earth makes you think that? Outside of them moving the ball on y'all.

They have moved the ball against everyone they have played until last night. Scored 28 on Liberty Eylau and on us.... and IIRC moved it against Texas High too, but had turnovers kill them.

Never said they were great. I just think they are better than what their 0-4 record shows.

Only had 261 against Texas High (only turned it over twice as well). And they only scored 21 on LE, and 14 of that was in the second half after being down 45-7 at half...a game in which they gave up over 800 yards in.

I'm sorry but no. They're exactly what they are at 0-4.

I disagree! I watched that game. Arkansas is better than 0-4.

Ark High got beat 40-0 by an Ark Team. They are getting worse each game

But it was to the #2 6A team in the state (Pine Bluff)

AHS has absolutely no defense to speak of.

But I figured their offense would keep them in some games.

They've had a brutal schedule.

Two teams in the top 10 (PB and LE) then TxH and Marshall.... those 4 teams are a combined (15-2).

The best high school athlete I have ever seen was from Pine Bluff, Ar. Basil Shabazz.

Ark High isnt that good of a team, but they have a few kids that can flat out fly. I think thats what mavchamp is trying to say. Their speed should almost gaurantee a few tds a game. To shut them out means you have some fast sure tacklers on defense. Not even saying they have a good offense, just big play ability.
