Predicted 4A districts

Princeton to Center would be insane!

Yea it is about 30 minutes longer of a drive. Still, Center being in these districts is a strain on all these teams lol. No offense to Center, because I like them being in our district, especially now that they have Bowman.

It's kinda like when Carthage went south to join Jasper and them ... I wonder if Center may go that way ... I know Splendora is going up leaving that district one short, but I figure Livingston (going down) would fill that slot ....

Been a few yrs since Kaufman was in same dist. as Disd. ,would not surprise me.

Football, basketball and track would be competitive, baseball ,volleyball, softball not so much.

This would be for football only. DISD has 6 schools in 4A, so they would have their own district.

  • 1 month later...

noticed where Bullard is moving up to D1 ....

That brings the East Texas Loop to 18 teams ... which most likely throws Princeton (and Anna) out of the travel marathon ...

Crandall Quinlan Ford Palestine Paris Carthage

Kaufman Van Bullard No Lamar Center

Terrell Athens C Hill L-E

Mabank Brownsboro Henderson Kilgore

18 available ... 6 each ..... just depends on where you desire to split 'em up ....

Or maybe some of the western teams (Crandall, Terrell, maybe Kaufman if Ranchview isn't in there too) go with DISD and move Princeton and Anna east

If these 18 teams are divided into 3 districts of 6, I predict it will be:

-Paris, NL, LE, Van, Chapel Hill, Brownsboro

-Crandall, Kaufman, Mabank, Athens, Terrell, Quinlan Ford

-Palestine, Carthage, Henderson, Kilgore, Center, Bullard

With only 3 teams in the NE corner of the state, 3 teams have to be shoved into that district. Van, CH, and Brownsboro seem like the most logical choices, with Terrell and QF being possibilities as well.

Pittsburg going down to D2 could throw a wrench in things. That may put Paris and NL west and LE south

LIberty Eylau

Chapel Hill

Kilgore

Henderson

Carthage

Center

If this happens it could create possibly the doomiest District of Doom ever lol

You are on to something. I have been looking for LE to go south for a long time. Nasty ain't the word for this district that you have quoted. Imagine the LE schedule if they continue to schedule Atlanta and add Pleasant Grove or, according to rumors, Texas High. Add Arkansas High in the mix and they have played Gilmer the last 4 years. It wouldn't seem fair to see the high quality teams that would certainly miss the playoffs. This district would be the SEC of 4A football in Texas or at least in East Texas.

The only thing for sure about L-E's schedule right now is that they will open with Gilmer in the Tyler Classic. If it's a six team district, they'll likely play Texas High, Pleasant Grove, Atlanta and maybe Arkansas High, although AHS reportedly doesn't want to play L-E. That last thing is strictly a rumor.

The UIL has made it clear they don't give a #### about location. See Gilmer and Gladewater for details. They didn't play each other while a few miles apart but Gilmer had to play teams like Canton and Nevada community , (really) I just hope there won't be a odd number district and the district will still be very competitive.

& don't forget Melissa...before the last alignment, Bullard was the further...last time they were closest

Where does Pleasant Grove go north? Don't think it's possible.

When we add Ok. to the Texas UIL.

It's in the works,its coming.

But in the short run they were only 64 short of moving up.

Add 65+ students and they play with LE and get on the interstate for closer games (time wise).

Or they could just op to move up, as they are so much better than D2 as PG dad insinuated.
