BuckeyeDad
Seems there are a lot of new schools that have only been in existence for 5 years or less winning state championships. Any thoughts
MoveTheChain
Do these new schools start with all 4 high school classes the first year or just a Freshman class? If only Freshman, it could be that the football team starts all Freshmen the first year and by the 4th year they have, well 4 years of experience playing varsity ball. That's my guess. That's my guess.A lot of times if they open in an even-numbered year they'll start with 9-11 and play varsity in the 1st year. And if they open in an odd-numbered year, they'll start with 9-10 and play JV the 1st year, then varsity when then get juniors. If they open with 9th only they could either play varsity when they grt sophomores or juniors, depending on even or odd year. Of course this assumes the school district is smart enough to plan around sports in the first place.

Lunatik
Lake Ridge also is 4 years old We had varsity football first year, but only juniors or seniors were kids who were basically not gonna play at their schools so they transfered. This current class started as freshmen together, then all moved to varsity together
WP4L
Let's name them....George Ranch, Brock, who else? George Ranch, Brock, Lake Ridge (finalist), Frisco Lone Star (finalist)... As for contenders...all of Leander ISD's new schools are good. As for recent seasons, Cy Ranch played for a title last season. Only 6 years old and Dekaney won a title in 11, was only 3 years old at the time. Steele went to back to back in 10 and 11, won in 10. Was only 4 years old at the time.
