Ok. Let the discussion begin. Can Clarksville matchup with Paris ?? Anyone think they have a realistic shot at pulling off the upset ?

Realistically, two things would have to happen: Get Paris in foul trouble and hope Cats have an off-night shooting. Of course, the same can be said about Clarksville.

After watching both teams this morning, looks like Cville/Paris is a good matchup. Both play half court man and Paris likes to push the tempo a little more than Cv. Depth is about even and Paris has a little edge in size with their guards. PHS big twins and Cv Wallace/Gaffney will match up. If either of these 4 get into foul trouble, it could decide the outcome. I do not see a blowout coming unless the aforementioned foul trouble rears its' ugly head or one team just has a terrible night shooting. I think the small school will be able to keep it close. Could be wrong though...we shall see.

More final scores from Pool Play:

Eylau why are we not playing in the tourny also Greene didn't come out for basketball this year and he was a big time contributer last year, I can understand why Carson didn't play this year height is gonna hurt us this year!

Miss having L-E in the tournament, even though it's a district rival.

Paris High main gym about 80% full already with the big game (Paris vs. Clarksville) still 2+ hours away. Some of it is the North Lamar crowd, but there's a good turnout of PHS fans already.

Halftime scores:

  • North Lamar 29, Waxahachie Life 19 (NL -- Versache Buchanan 13, including a trey at the buzzer; Wax -- Daniel Nguyen 8 ... 1st half fouls: NL 3, Wax Life 11)
  • Hot Springs 48, Ferris 20 (Hot Springs outscored Ferris 32-0 in 1st quarter)
