Silsbee AD/HC Open

This is a great job. This is also a tight knit community that sometimes does not play well with outsiders. Lots of big names may apply, but others might be scared off by the "stigma" attached to the job. There is one coach on staff with head coaching experience so it may be his to turn down. Great athletes and good facilities.

I know most schools now-a-days, want coaches who have been AD's. If Silsbee would consider looking at a OC that has a passion for the game, knows offense, and has a great report with kids, they should look at the OC in Edna. Not sure he will apply, but can't imagine why he wouldn't.

Not always. There are great coaches that have been looked over because they are not or have not been an AD. They want a chance to run their own program and have coached under some really good coaches. The NFL has finally figured that out and are getting some of these top people instead of reruns. For these guys, money is not always an object.

This has been open for less that a day, wonder how many have already applied.

And yes, I think Silsbee needs to look hard at some coordinators, not a retread.
