The only word that can be expressed after Longview's 56-7 victory over arch rival Marshall last Friday night. The Lobos struck quick and fast in the first half building a 21-0 lead after one quarter, growing that lead to 42-7 at the halftime break. After last season’s 28-25 loss to the Mavericks, the Lobos made quick work to prove last season’s loss was an arbitration instead of a changing of the guard. The win gave Longview it’s 15th victory in their last 16 contests against Marshall. It was also the program’s 59th victory against the arch rival Mavericks. Kendrevian White was the work horse for the Lobos for the second straight week as he registered four touchdowns on the night, becoming the first Lobo to put home four touchdowns since Braylynn Anthony’s four touchdown night last season against Hallsville. The Lobos now return home for their home opener against a foe they haven’t faced since the early 1990s. It’s been 25 years since Longview and Dallas’s South Oak Cliff met on the gridiron, in a series that dates back to 1956. The two programs have met just five times over their histories, all at Longview’s Lobo Stadium (new and old). The only non-Longview victory came in 1962 during a 6-6 tie. The Lobos, for the most part, have dominated the overall series..especially the two previous encounters having outscored the Golden Bears 84-8. The two schools have started the 2016 season in quite opposite fashion. After both schools started the season 0-1, the two teams took very different routes in week two with Longview rolling 56-7 and South Oak Cliff falling apart to Lancaster 51-7. The Lobos will be hosting both Homecoming and Green Out events during the week three contest. Longview has not lost a Homecoming game since 2003 (an 18-14 loss to Tyler Lee), having won 12 consecutive. The Lobos are also 12-2 all-time during Green Out contests, losing just twice to Allen (2011) and John Tyler (2014). Longview also brings an 8-game home winning streak into the game, having only lost to John Tyler (41-25) in their last 21 home games. The game also pits Longview against a Dallas ISD school for the first time since 2008, when the Lobos knocked off Dallas Carter (35-20) in the Regional round of the 4A playoffs. Overall, Longview has registered a 45-8-2 record all-time against DISD schools.WEEK TWO 11-6A SCHEDULE:Longview vs South Oak CliffJohn Tyler v. LoboFan07
I know it's good to get confidence and such, but this really makes me worried going into a huge district game against Horn next week. Hopefully our boys just continue to work on what they need to work on.

Mr. P
Y'all make sure to get there early for tailgating. It's also gonna be the "Green Out" (as well as homecoming) so make sure to wear a Lobo shirt... as if I really had to tell you that. :P
LoboFan07
Ennis fans, what did y'all see when y'all faced SOC? Obviously it was somewhat close with the 30-20 scoreline. I know Lancaster has had a solid team recently but 51-7 over SOC seems like a wow.

WP4L
Emotionally, definitely. I hope we air it out a lot this coming Friday honestly. Guys have to start catching those balls. Most definitely. Pass, pass, pass until we get it right. We already know we can run the ball. No one was ever going to stop that but a decent passing game to go with it will be lethal. Watched Katy today and we're just as lethal as them running the ball but they pass it more successfully out of PA which makes them all that much harder to stop. Wiley is getting better each week. Progressing far more quickly than Ross did.
Pack007
Stop it lol. I can see the complaining now about King calling too many pass plays if the game is too close. Unless you're talking about doing it, if you're able to go up by about three or four scores.
TheFootballFan
Pass within structure of offense..... Just passing to pass always looks bad with Lobos.... Play action or doing it after a few runs is how it works best..... Get good feeling going in offense! Throw every play in practice..... Just my opinion... Unless you're talking about doing it, if you're able to go up by about three or four scores.in order for Lobos to be a very serious threat to win it all this year and for years to come, Lobos have to develop a passing game. Sounds redundant but it's the GOD honest truth. All this 3-15 and 2-8 passing has been done got old. Doesn't make sense a school big as Longview and can't develope a Qb or a passing game. Gilmer is same size as Foster middle, maybe smaller and they every year find some that can sling it. That Lufkin 3-15 needs to be 10-15 and that Marshall 2-8 needs to be atleast 5-8. That's just my opinion...
