If Moreland leaves, JD's statements make it seem Gallo will not be given the job outright. They'd rather have him in AAA getting ABs. Theres also rumors and reports that the Rangers are operating with a $20m FA budget. CF- This is the most domino effect position. Desmond walks or is your big FA acquisition. A. Desmond walks. You either re-sign Gomez, DeShields becomes everyday or a trade for a Billy Hamilton happens. You can then spend the Desmond money on a Edwin Encarnacion to play 1B/DH. B. Desmond re-signs. Would probably still need to add a right handed bat. Napoli if he would come back for his third time. Trumbo can 1B/OF.
