In trying to confirm or update the answer to my question about which teams stay at the Wyndham, I was told "Some of the teams stay there but we are not allowed to disclose who stays here and who doesn't"...........

How bout the next question being....."What player has hit .500 or better in more than one World Series ( with a minimum of 10 AB's in a Series) ?"

.....OK, long enough on this question. The correct answer is Lou Gehrig, who hit .500 or better in 2 World Series. In 1928 and in 1932 Lou hit .545 ( 6 for 11 in'28 and 9 for 17 in '32).

NEXT QUESTION....Who was the first player elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame as a Left Fielder and what year did he get enshrined in Cooperstown ?

I show 3 left fielders were inducted in 1945. Nothing sooner than that:

Fred Clarke

Ed Delahanty

Jim O'Rourke

I guess since Fred Clarke came first on the list, I'll say:

Fred Clarke - 1945

Next question

Who is the only pitcher to hit 2 grand slams in the same game?

With two on and the Giants trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth, Ralph Branca delivers the pitch to Bobby Thomson of the Giants.

The most famous words in baseball history are uttered by Russ Hodges........."and the Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant".

The greatest call in sport on October the 3rd of 1951 !!

_Next Question_ Who was on deck for the Giants when Thomson's "shot was heard round the world" ?

(Actually, the Greatest Game Ever Played was given to the football game played on December 28, 1958 as the New York Giants and Baltimore Colts faced off for the NFL Title.)

This one goes way back....back....back!

April 21 in 1898 was when ol' Bill Duggleby did it for the Phillies against the New York Giants.

and on September 1, 2005, Jeremy Hermida of the Florda Marlins accomplished it again.

Once every 107 years ain't bad for stretching it out a bit !!.

NEXT QUESTION

Name the brothers and the dates of the Series, that have face each other in a World Series ?
