bordertown
Today, The University of Texas announced the dismissal of Charlie Strong. I have been an ardent supporter of Charlie and would have liked to have seen him given one more year, because I believed he could do the job. I understand the decision to relieve him of his duties. I accept their decision and the statements issued by the administration reflect the positive influence he had on the players and The University. Mr. Strong, I thank you for your contributions and will be pulling for you at your next stop. Time to move forward.
Lobo97
I'm curious as to what you've seen to make you believe he could do the job? 3 straight losing seasons Loss to Kansas Lowest winning percentage in the history of Texas football (min 10 games)
Coach Rab
If I were a Texas fan and next coach I would say: thank you for mostly fixing Mack Browns mess... I look forward to winning with the talent you couldn't...

BigRedFan
It was not for the lack of talent. The talent has been there.
KrookedWolfe
Good luck to CS. He was able to stop the surge of a lot of the best players in Texas from going to A&M. Modern day children and families gravitate towards coaches they can admire and relate to. Without Strong the Longhorns roster would definitely not look the same. Strong has laid one heck of a foundation to aid in the success of this program. Hope he lands on his feet.
