blesseddaily
I know Hudson and Sulphur Springs are having large tournaments this weekend. Anybody got scores from the Hudson tournament ?
keelydad
Does anyone know why the Hudson tournament is not as big this year? Usually they play at 2 different sites because of all the teams, now it's just at one place.

Usually they play at 2 different sites because of all the teams, now it's just at one place. Because the former Hudson coach was the driving force behind the tournament. He built it up from a small local tournament to one of the largest in this part of the state. Coaches knew it would be well ran and the pairings would be as fair as possible. He is highly respected in coaching circles in high school as well as college and did an incredible job building the program at Hudson from nothing to multiple state championships. Other coaches saw how he was treated and wanted nothing to do with it. Hudson was lucky there wasn't a lot of tournament choices for many schools so they had to come back, otherwise it would have been even smaller. I realized that after I heard people talking this weekend. Hate to hear the way he was treated there. Also hate to hear that he's not coaching softball anymore.
