DaveTV1
The resignation of Hugh Freeze sounds strange to me. I read that it was only one call for less than a minute. There had to be more than that for him to resign, unless it was to help Ole Miss out.

From the article : In a news conference Thursday, Ole Miss Athletic Director Ross Bjork said that school officials had discovered “a pattern of personal misconduct inconsistent with the standards we have come to expect from the leader of our football team.” He noted that the number for the escort service appeared to have dialed just once from Freeze’s phone, but in looking further through his call logs, officials found a “concerning pattern.” I'd like to see the article that states multiple calls. I can understand a mis-dial or butt dial, especially under one minute. The 313 area code is in Michigan and the 813 area code is in Florida. That's not mentioned in this article, but it was in the one I read this morning.

Coach Rab
The pattern wasn't multiple calls to the same number but multiple calls to similar services etc throughout the year or so. I got all of this from USA TODAY 's reporter that broke the story on Sirius XM

Coach Rab
Les Miles would be a great coach to "weather the storm" from the NCAA. I couldn't see him getting blown out and I am sure he would find a way to get in a late game vs Hawaii at Hawaii or something to feel like they are on a bowl trip. However, if Les Miles goes there and fails, he is no longer a power program coach and will have to start over at a lower tier program. I just don't see it as a good move for him. That kind of applies wherever he goes. If he wants an SEC job then Ole Miss will probably be his best choice available unless he thinks he has a shot at the Tennessee job if they under perform this year. Their boosters and administration would get roasted by the state media and the fan base. Much like Auburn and LSU, a coach's success at Tennessee is measured, in part, by their record vs. Alabama. Can you imagine the howls from Vol fans if they replace a coach who couldn't beat BAMA with a coach who got fired from his last job because he couldn't beat BAMA?

I don't have a dog in this hunt (can't stand 'Bama, Tenny, Miles, or the SEC) but it's bull#### that he's not a legit candidate for these jobs. Okay okay, so Miles has lousy record against Saban, well duhhhhh... the number of coaches who have a good record against Saban could all fit in a phone booth. These boosters/fanbase/pundits need to wake up. Again, I ain't a fan of the Mad Hatter (couldn't stand him when he was at Okie State), but the dude is easily one of the top ten coaches in the country, if not top 5.
Coach Rab
I just did my research to make sure that I was correct. The only SEC coaches to defeat Saban more than once while at Alabama were Les Miles twice and Hugh Freeze twice. And quite honestly, if it wasnt for a few boneheaded calls at the end of the game, Les would have 4 victories vs Alabama.

I was using your statement to show the unrealistic expectations that Tennessee fans have. They are much like LSU fans. If butch doesn't beat BAMA this year, the only thing that saves his job is beating everyone else.
