Hagar Posted March 26, 2017 Share Posted March 26, 2017 Evidently down here in the swamp, not many 2A schools want to host track meets. Up until this past Thursday, all the meets have been at bigger schools. So last week 2A Hull-Daisetta hosted one. There were 16 teams (3A and below). The 100 & 200 dash had 5 heats. I sit up in the stands so long, my behind had carpal tunnel syndrome. Running events were sch to start at 2:30, but got moved back to 3. It's a 50 min drive from Evadale and we were seated at 2:25. Left about 7, and it was a well run event. Thankfully, we were in the shade of the pressbox with a nice breeze. My G'son runs the 800, which is usually 1st event, and the 4x400, which is the last. Had someone sick so he ran the 4x200 relay also. So all that time sitting there for 4 minutes lol. But I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
