Crawford
I wasn't able to stay up to watch the remaining of this 2nd game vs Seattle, but I'm glad to see the Rangers had a big enough of a lead our bullpen couldn't completely blow it. Rangers won 8-

You know, I was thinking of something yesterday while listening to a random soccer show... Wouldn't the MLB be interesting if you could do like most soccer leagues and "Rent out" certain players for a certain amount of time? Let's say we actually wanted to keep Yu Darvish, but our season was falling apart and we wanted to get Jo Jo BlowHole some MLB experience... we could rent out Yu Darvish for the rest of the season to the Yankees or Astros or whoever and still have him next season... It's an interesting concept if nothing else....
Stoney
That would be awesome. Especially if they threw in promotion and relegation. Like the winner of the Independent League takes the spot of the worst MLB team and vice versa.
THSfanatic
That would be awesome. How about just renting a pitcher once a month.......or maybe rent a reliever or DH for a weekend. You gotta be kidding me
Coach Rab
How about just renting a pitcher once a month.......or maybe rent a reliever or DH for a weekend. You gotta be kidding me If Im not mistaken, soccer usually loans them out for half seasons etc. developmental players will be loaned to lesser leagues and teams where they can contribute and play, where they wouldnt on their main squad
Stoney
Let's say you have Altuve and Correa and a stud infield prospect.....you can get him ABs in AAA or you can rent him to Tampa Bay for a month. He tears it up for TB you have proof that he can play and drive his trade value up. If he doesn't you give him his Profar jersey back and send him down to AAA. Or your the Miami/Florida/ Havana Marlins. You stink at baseball. Can't draw fans. Your basically paying (and playing) AAA talent and getting crushed. You think bringing in a Aaron Judge type hyped rookie would draw fans? See him before he gets sent back folks.
