Mavchamp Posted May 23, 2018 Author Share Posted May 23, 2018 Stadium lights will be taken care of this summer too. That will really only leave restrooms and concessions to be addressed. New turf. Video board. Pressbox. Lighting all in the last 2 years. Not bad. With all the new schools now completed and open K-8...... MISD has only 1 campus to concentrate on now. MHS is getting almost a $7 Million renovation this summer as the first phase of improvements. A nice start. The $ saved on not maintaining all those old school buildings opens up some money for the district to spend on MHS and the athletic facilities. In another 3-4 years MISD will be a school district of totally new....or newly renovated schools and athletic facilities K-12. Wonder how rare that is? Never believed possible 10 years ago. UncleSam Posted May 25, 2018 Share Posted May 25, 2018 Ladycats lose game one to Forney 4-1. Game was tied 1-1 going into top 7th.Forney pitcher is lights out,throws in low to middle sixties. Our pitcher Madison Melton pitched great but finally wore down in seventh.We had a couple opportunities to score with runners on base but couldn't get the necessary hit. Greenville Posted May 28, 2018 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Been an interesting ride this (football) school year. Started out 5-1, lost our best player and cratered out of the playoff picture. This past April, we managed to get a guy drafted to the NFL and have our program treated like a national joke at the same time. (We were the 0-40 school, after all.) Definitely an up-and-down ride.
