11 days and counting.

Lobos get Pine Tree this Friday, Panthers get Huntsville.

But I don't think we'll have a single Panther fan there in Huntsville to give us a report, with everyone in Lufkin on the Little League train atm!

Still haven't heard a single thing on how the Lp scrimmage went, nothing even on the Lufkin newspaper website either.

Check the Lp forum. There is one update. Coach should say something about it in the paper, but then again the guy that covers Lp football and sports is in PA for the little league game today. The LDN will probably have that game and updates on the hurricane on their website instead of the scrimmage info. The item for Huntsville may have something later on though. We just don't have a guy like Haden to give updates on our program. Sadly..

How does the wet weather impact Longview-Lufkin gameplans?

Regardless of if the rain tapers off by Friday or Saturday, we can agree that it's gonna rain all week long. That means a wet surface at the Lobo no matter how dry it is on Friday night. So how does that stand to impact the ballgame, in your opinion?

Win or lose, rain or shine, some :Lobos: obos will never be happy.

These two schools played on a wet nasty night at Lobo Stadium in 2013 and scored a combined 85 points before a rather sparse crowd.

Longview 55 Lufkin 30

As long as lightening isn't an issue then I don't think they'll decide to postpone it until Saturday.

Of course, they could choose to move it. We shall see !

It has rained in Lufkin 24/7 since Saturday and is forecast to continue all week long. We haven't had anything like Houston. Grateful we have a nice turfed indoor field to practice. The uncertainty of how and where what's left of Harvey is going is a mystery to even the meteorologist.. Just do not want the flooding experience we went through trying to go to Ennis a couple of years ago. Hopefully it will surprise us and move into Arkansas by Friday.

The uncertainty of how what's left of Harvey is a mystery to even the meteorologist right. Just do not want the flooding experience we went through trying to go to Ennis a couple of years ago. Hopefully it will surprise up and move into Arkansas by Friday.

If the rain continues until Friday like this and if the power goes out like in 08, not sure we should travel to Lv.

Have to agree that Lufkin should watch out for themselves in this instance. Those boys had absolutely no legs in 08 after halftime.

That said, if Lufkin is forced to pull out for whatever reason, just gotta hope from a Longview stand point that King can find someone to fill in like we did back in 08 with the Barbers Hill game.
