Yep, Calvin is his dad.

One of the perks of getting old. Lol Seeing the kids of guys you rooted for when you were a kid.

Giving up 1 just sounds like good business, but if you give up both... you move into that seller status

White Sox just keep adding good prospects.

To me, Hamels is the better pitcher... if we are in it to win it, we trade Darvish. If we are loading up, send Hamels packing

Verlander and Upton reportedly will NOT be traded

I would gladly trade the whole farm team for Kate Upton. :D

Astros and O's nearing a deal for Britton

Astros about to get Francisco Liriano from the Blue Jays for an outfielder.......we'll see who shortly......

I don't think Liriano ever suits up for Houston. Think he may very well end up being in Baltimore within the next 2 hours...

Fisher not leaving. Likely getting moved up to for depth.

Liriano also sticking around as a likely lefty specialist.

Houston signs reliever Jumbo Diaz to minor league deal.

Trade complete: Aoki + Teoscar Hernandez for Liriano

Oh hell no

Fisher safe. Likely getting called back up with someone leaving the bullpen (Thinking/Hoping Sipp)

Summer is winding down and I go back to teaching in 2 weeks. The uncertainty of the next hour with the trade deadline is too much. I'm just gonna take a nap while I still can...

Wanted Britton. Can only imagine the asking price was waaay to high. Either way we are fine. Just need to get healthy right now.

On that note. McCullers to the 10-day DL

Potential Ranger players to clear waivers:

Napoli

Gomez

Cashner

I wish we would put Choo on waivers, but I doubt it.

I definitely don't think our deals are even close to being done. That's three possible additions that make sense for a playoff team. Especially Cashner if a playoff team's rotation starts dropping arms...Houston?????

You couldn't pay anybody in Houston to take Gomez back.

And even though Cashner has been better than I expected, he makes no sense for us. He is not better than Keuchel, McCuller, Fiers, Peacock, Morton, Martes, or McHugh as a starter and he would be absolutely no help in relief because he cannot strike anybody out. No thanks ... but good try :)
