Nacwagons
Looks like the season will get to kickoff on Friday. Forecast showing the rain going east into Louisiana. High school football will be a nice distraction for a few hours this week.

Nacwagons
So after week 1- Corsicana 1-0 shutout Red Oak 41-0 Whitehouse 1-0 beat Hallsville 27-10 Jacksonville 1-0 beat Pine Tree Ennis 0-1 lost to SOC 29-28 Lindale 0-1 lost to Kaufman 19-14 Nacogdoches 0-1 lost to Kilgore 35-21  This week Lindale vs Forney Nac @ Lufkin Cana @ Tyler Lee Jacksonville @ Palestine Ennis @ John Tyler Whitehouse @ Tyler Chapel Hill  How is every feeling after week 1.... Nac's season didn't start off well, but we are young and inexperienced. Maybe we will be opposite of last year, when started fast before losing our last 4. Nondistrict is brutal and hopefully it provides valuable experience for a run to the 4 spot:) just glad football season is here!!!
hartwicks
Whitehouse looked pretty solid against Hallsville. Defense looked good. Their defensive line is huge.
TigerAlum 90
I'm feeling pretty good about my Tigers. We looked ALOT better than last year. I'm looking forward to this weekend's game vs.Tyler Lee. It will tell me how good we will be.

dillonpanthers
Did Whitehouse get off to a slow start against Hallsville? Or is Hallsville a lot better than most thought. I was checking the score and it seemed close for awhile.
Jakeelee86
Lindale did better than I thought they would. It was a close game the whole time. Hopefully they can pull out a win against Forney
Nacwagons
Talking to a few a people that were at the game, whitehouse was very vanilla on offense. Defense was very good, they weren't sure if it was lack of speed from hallsville or just good whitehouse defense. Â Whitehouse had a chance at the end of the half from the half yard line on an untimed down due to PI in the end zone. They elected to kick a FG, the decision didn't sit well with the fans. Whitehosue was set to receive the ball in the second half, so fans didn't like the conservative call. I was told the RB for whitehouse is pretty good and Dillon Cantrell brother is pretty good, but QB wasn't sharp. Â Â Just relaying what I was told, if any whitehouse fans would like to correct this be my guest.

firstandgoal
This week:  Lindale vs Forney Whitehouse @ Chapel Hill Nac @ Lufkin Ennis @ John Tyler Corsicana @ Tyler Lee Jacksonville @Palestine   My picks: Lindale Whitehouse Lufkin John Tyler Tyler Lee Jacksonville
hartwicks
Whitehouse was pretty vanilla on offense. Ran the ball pretty well and completed a lot of short passes. Didn't throw the ball down the field much. QB was 21 out of 31 for around 200 yds and RB # 8 looked good. He had several good, long runs. Defense looked very good to me. Hallsville did very little on offense all night.

dillonpanthers
Ennis had a tight game with JT. Closer than most expected I think. Â I wasn't surprised to sew Lee beat Corsicana, but thought it would be closer. Â Jacksonville losing to Palestine was a little surprising. Â The other 3 were pretty much what I expected. Â Â My new prediction as of now: 1.Ennis 2.Corsicana 3. Whitehouse 4.Lindale 5. Nac 6. Jacksonville
TigerAlum 90
I was surprised the Ennis-JT game was that close. this will help Ennis in the long run. Â As a Tiger fan, I wasn't surprised we lost to Lee. I was hoping it would be more competitive. Doesn't get any easier for us...got Lancaster this week. Â IMO, Whitehouse will get their first test this week vs. Carthage. Â I don't know much about Nac, but I wouldnt count them out just yet. Â As for Lindale and Jax, don't have a clue how good they are.
Nacwagons
Ennis Whitehouse Corsicana  The bottom three in no particular order still Lindale Jax Nac  This district will come down to the last week of the season just like the last 4 years. Nacwagons
Week 3 Matchups Tyler Lee @ Nac. Carthage @ Whitehouse Corsicana @ Lancaster Ennis @ Waxahachie Jacksonville @ Hallsville Van @ Lindale  Lee big over Nac Carthage over WH Lancaster over Cana Wax over Ennis Jax over Hallsville Van over Lindale  Overall I don't think it will be a good night for 17-5A.....safe travels!! Nacwagons
Week 3 is in the books and we have No undefeated teams in district, but 2 teams are winless.  Whitehouse 2-1-Beating Hallsville, Chapel Hill and losing to Carthage Jacksonville 2-1-Beating Hallsville and Pine Tree and losing to Palestine Corsicana 1-2-Beating Red Oak and losing to Tyler Lee and Lancaster Lindale 1-2-Beating Forney and losing to Kaufman and Van Ennis 0-3-Losing to South Oak Cliff, John Tyler and Waxahachie Nacogdoches 0-3-Losing to Kilgore, Lufkin and Tyler Lee  Week 4 Schedule-The entire district is at home this week.  Corsicana hosts Marshall Ennis hosts Dallas Kimball Jacksonville hosts Mount Pleasant Lindale hosts Terrell Whitehouse hosts Sulphur Springs Nacogdoches hosts Hallsville  There is not a clear cut favorite in the district right now. I would say Ennis and Nac have had the tougher schedule so far, that doesn't mean anything at all just making a statement.  Thoughts???
BACKnBLACK
Your statement Ennis and Nac have had the tougher schedule is correct. It does mean something. You can t play p i s s ants and be prepared. Ennis has played all of their opponents well. Just can t finish. Let's play the season out and see what happens. Ennis and Nac are clear favs for Top
dillonpanthers
I still think Ennis, Corsicana and Nac are the favorites. They've played hard schedules. May be wrong, but still think it will be those 3 and Whitehouse getting the 4 playoff spots.

May be wrong, but still think it will be those 3 and Whitehouse getting the 4 playoff spots. I am just not ready to say Nac is favorite for anything. We have lost all 3 games by at least 2 possesions so far. Making the playoffs would be great experience, but let's start by winning a Game. Â Nac has some really good years coming but let's pump the breaks on being favorites.
dillonpanthers
Â Nac has some really good years coming but let's pump the breaks on being favorites. To me, being a "favorite" right now isn't much to say in either 5A East Texas district. I don't see anyone making it past the 1st round as of now. So yes, I do still think Nac may be a district favorite.
Nacwagons
Nacs reward for making the playoffs would either be Temple or College St, so it would be a quick stay there. Â Probably looking at a 2-8 or a 3-7 making the playoffs out of our district.
