mav01
Week 3 is in the books and we have No undefeated teams in district, but 2 teams are winless. Whitehouse 2-1-Beating Hallsville, Chapel Hill and losing to Carthage Jacksonville 2-1-Beating Hallsville and Pine Tree and losing to Palestine Corsicana 1-2-Beating Red Oak and losing to Tyler Lee and Lancaster Lindale 1-2-Beating Forney and losing to Kaufman and Van Ennis 0-3-Losing to South Oak Cliff, John Tyler and Waxahachie Nacogdoches 0-3-Losing to Kilgore, Lufkin and Tyler Lee Week 4 Schedule-The entire district is at home this week. Corsicana hosts Marshall Ennis hosts Dallas Kimball Jacksonville hosts Mount Pleasant Lindale hosts Terrell Whitehouse hosts Sulphur Springs Nacogdoches hosts Hallsville There is not a clear cut favorite in the district right now. I would say Ennis and Nac have had the tougher schedule so far, that doesn't mean anything at all just making a statement. Thoughts??? This is 17 vs 16 week. 4 matchups, all good games.. Which et district wins or will we split?

mav01
I say 17-5a takes them all:) Thats very possible. I think Jax has the edge over Mt P, other 3 appear to be a toss up. Jax by 14 Nac by 7 Whitehouse by 10 Marshall by
Nacwagons
It appears 17-5a will sweep this week. All 6 teams have either won or have comfortable leads late in the 4th.
Nacwagons
Week 4 is in the books as we drive for 5!!! I still think we are looking at Ennis Cana WH Nac Lindale Jax The last 3 will fall in any order.
Monte1076
Week 4 is in the books as we drive for 5!!! Ennis 1-3 after destroying Kimball This game was over in the 1st quarter. It was 35-7 at the end of the 1st quarter, and 63-7 at the half. Coach called off the dogs and put in subs to start the 2nd half, along with the game going to a running clock. That very well could have been a 90+ point game, possibly reaching the century mark. We only scored 19 points in the 2nd half. Missed 2 extra points or it would have been 84-7. Monte1076
I was watching the scoreboard on foxsports app light up like a pinball machine!! I was a bit surprised, because of the score, that we only tallied just a tad over 500 total yards of offense. But it makes sense since we had relatively short fields most of the night, and Kimball only totaled just over 100 yards of offense for the entire game. Most scoreboards don't go to 3 digits...so I don't know how they would have handled that.

Nacwagons
We are at the half way point of the season. The entire district is on BYE this week. Here is what it looks like after non-district play. Jacksonville at 4-1-Wins over the 3 bottom teams of 16-5a-Pine Tree, Hallsville and Mount Pleasant and 4A Alvarado. Lone loss to 4a-Palestine Lindale at 3-2-Wins over Forney,Terrell and Gladewater with losses to 4a-Kaufman and Van Whitehouse at 3-2-Wins over Hallsville, Chapel Hill and Sulphur Springs, with both losses in blowouts to 4A Top 10 teams-Carthage and Kennedale Corsicana at 2-3-Wins over Red Oak and Marshall-Losses to 6A Tyler Lee, Lancaster and Manor Ennis at 2-3-Wins over Kimball and 6A Del Valle with losses to South Oak Cliff, 6A John Tyler and Waxahachie Nacogdoches at 1-4-Lone win over Hallsville-Losses to 4a-Kilgore, Gilmer and 6a-Tyler Lee and Lufkin Districts Begins 10/13 Jacksonville @ Corsicana Lindale @ Nacogdoches Ennis @ Whitehouse What do we think we know about this district?? I think Nac has played the hardest schedule by far and has improved every week. I am not sure it means much this year, but Nac will compete for a top 4 spot, but the first game in district is a must win for them. I see the district shaping up as follows and my prediction on final district record. 1.Ennis 4-1 2.Whitehouse 3-2 3.Corsicana 3-2 4.Nacogdoches 2-3 5.Jacksonville 2-3 6.Lindale 1-4 I could be completely wrong and we have a huge surprise coming. We have a week to discuss!!!!
LoboFan07
Ennis at 2-3-Wins over 6A Kimball and Del Valle with losses to South Oak Cliff, 6A John Tyler and 6A Waxahachie Kimball is not 6A, Del Valle is. Waxahachie is not 6A (yet).

hartwicks
I really think anyone in this district can beat anyone. No dominant teams, but no terrible teams either.

Nacwagons
both 16-5a and 17-5a are gonna be one and done in the playoffs this year. I like the excitement of the district being wide open.

Monte1076
Ennis has played good football for the most part this year even tho we are 2-3 That's kinda true. We could easily be 4-1 right now. A very, very last second TD vs SOC (a 1 point loss to SOC), and a 4 point loss to 6A John Tyler. Convert those to wins, and we're looking at 4-1 right now. Though it seems like we've struggled with mobile QBs who can throw. Passing game has kinda hurt us in a couple of games.
hartwicks
The Ennis paper said they had two significant injuries against Del Valle. One was a knee and one was a concussion. How are the injured kids?

Nac could be 4-1 right now if we would have scored more points than the teams we played!! :) I am not disputing that ennis hasnt played good football, 18-5a is killing people right now, they have 4 very strong teams out of the 4 playoff teams...college st, temple and A&M cons, Waco appear to be this districts reps.
