blackflag79
Since nobody else has started this topic, I'll do the honors. Gladewater always has the Gilmer game circled on their calendar, and seems to play their best game against us. Knowing this is Yamboree week in Gilmer, and knowing Gilmer just lost a district home game for the first time in 17 years, will the Buckeyes have an emotional letdown. I think Gilmer bounces back. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was close, however.
playactionpass39
Gilmer is the better football team, Gladewater is prone to make mistakes, Buckeyes ten to take advantage of those mistakes. Gladewater will struggle against the Gilmer passing attack, but Gilmer will probably struggle against the Bears rushing attack. Only positive for Gilmer Defense is they will be able to load up against the run because Gladewater does NOT throw it near as well as PG does. H3llR4z0r
I think Gilmer bounces back big, but this will actually be interesting to see. Interesting in the fact that this is uncharted territory for Gilmer. You'd have been hard pressed to find someone that knew what it felt like to leave the Gilmer home side suffering a loss, and now they've had 2, relatively close together. They didn't even have to deal with anything like this under Traylor. Good luck to both teams!
blackflag79
Gilmer did lose two in a row at home in 2010, albeit non-district games. That was under Traylor. That team ended up going 9-4 for the season.

CasualObserver70
If you are brewing a scenario for an upset, this would be it. Yamboree week, at Gladewater, after a tough could of should of would of home loss. I know Gladewater is better than their record indicates. Could this be a team Gilmer just isn't ready for? I think this week is the crucial week for Gilmer. If they right the ship and win this game, they can continue on with their goals and objectives for the year. So I'm taking Gilmer to let out some agression.
H3llR4z0r
So, say by some divine miracle, Gilmer loses 2 weeks in a row... the shock could carry on into the 3rd week of district and that team might roll by as well? Wishful thinking?

36gut
Gilmer has Got to Put Up... 'cause they ain't ABOUT to SHUT UP....! The fact that a thread wasn't started on this game until Tuesday says otherwise. Our fans have mostly shut up. It could just be apathy, though. There's really nothing to say other than pray for the defense. Our PA announcer prays every Friday night, but he hasn't asked for prayers for the Black Flag D yet. Maybe it's time.

Justright
I do not belioeve that the Gladewater secondary will compete with Gilmer passing attack. Gilmer will get their points and I do not believe that Gladewater's offense will match Gilmer output.
