Same to y’all, but I’m not worried about playing PAM. It’s better for us to play them instead of the Woodlands every year.

Just looking at the list he has on the site, his numbers may be a little off. Was wondering what percentage of the schools were reporting.
stormlover
isn't stepp usually more consistent than Padilla?
blesseddaily
Does the UIL website have all the schools and numbers turned in listed somewhere?? Its a pain to keep looking back through the pages when I want to find a certain school...maybe someone with some time can consolidate all the schools and numbers turned in, that would be nice!!! stormlover
He said on twitter that total of 18 schools opt up in 5a from D1 to D2 causing that D1-D2 break to sky rocket

stormlover
Yeah i AGREE WITH THIS!!! but I don't think they would publish stuff if they didn't have a pretty good grasp of what they were doing, these guys have good sources.

Eagle8
As long as the bottom of 4A is 477 or higher.....I'm good with either one of them being closer lol

SmoakyBandito
Carthage is lucky they had a high number at 794. I didn't expect them to project the bottom of 4a D1 at 785. If I would've seen that number, I would have guaranteed Carthage would move down to DII. Carthage was 754 last alignment. I don't think we have had any growth in the school, must just have some big classes. Maybe somebody can correct me if I am wrong in why the numbers went up. But I'm glad Carthage isn't going to move down, but they will be one of the smallest schools in D1 which is no different than it is now. In the smaller classes numbers don't matter as much IMO. Carthage can comepete with schools with 1,159 students no problem.
KirtFalcon
For the bottom number of Class 3A Division II: to jump from 220 to 230 is a big jump. I don't know if has moved that much at one time before, if ever ....
ChiefRedCloud
No way for them or UIL to know what the cutoffs are going to be. UIL has to have all the numbers before they can determine where to make the cutoff. Anything projected before the attendance was turned in is completely a guess.
