Longview to Sherman is a 3 hour drive. That’d be insane when Sherman could just go to the Denton schools.

They were a reach. I looked at the other schools that are around Denton. Denton isd will have three then they would take  McKinney north Littles elm colony and the two  Carrollton farmers branch schools

I posted this on 6A so guess I'll post it here....

Edit: Just updated my mock with the new numbers Stepp posted. Obviously though I'm going to be way wrong somewhere, if not the whole thing.

Lee would struggle regardless of classification.

But yes, their record would naturally improve slightly in 5A DI.

Right- they beat the 3 5a teams they played this year and I believe two of those teams are leading their respective districts at this time.

And all three of them will go 5A Division 2, and they’re a combined 11-14.

I guess the 11-14 includes their 5 losses to 6A Lee and Longview?  Not sure what the rest of their non-district looked like.  I think the pieces are in place at Lee for a continued rise over the next few years, but get why people might assume they would continue to struggle.  Winning is the only thing that can change perception and reality.
