Too Hot To Hunt ...

It's suppose to be in the low to mid 80s in Nacogdoches/Rusk counties where I hunt opening weekend of deer season and stay in the 80s for several days.  I am not even going to hunt until it cools down at least into the low 70s.  Probably wouldn't shoot anything unless it was a pretty big buck and it was in the 50s or below.  I hate hunting in hot weather.

I've been moving hay and feeding cows all week in Rusk County and have seen several bucks active in the morning and late evening.  Hot or not, they're starting to chase does so you do stand a chance to see some good ones this weekend.

Yes, I have seen a few good ones myself .... I'm just not field dressing a deer when it's 80+ degrees unless he makes Bullwinkle look like a cull ....
