Speed kills. And PG has it all over the field. Those running backs!!  Wow.

2,21,22 may be the fastest 3 running backs on one team I’ve ever seen

That’s awesome! So does Melissa, they have half dozen regional track qualifiers including the RB who is a state qualifier and National Junior Olympics championships qualifier with a time of 10.58 in 100m, that’s D1 college track speed as a HS sophomore for those that don’t know track. So you can expect plenty of speed from both teams Friday.

Ask hellrazer about speed going at our defense. Atlanta has the fastest kid in our little ol district.

Atlanta, 2016 State Track champs.

1st place 4x100 - 41.34

2nd place 4x200 - 1:26.670 (1st place Kilgore 1:26:663)

We lost 48-17. They handle speed really well. We did graduate 2 off of those relay teams, but still have 3 and have some speedsters come up.

PG handles speed well. To use speed, you have to be able to block and create separation. That's where PG is so good. They swarm to the ball very quickly. We couldn't get separation from DBs either. We didn't have that problem with any other team, even Jasper.

I know y'all have some speedsters in Melissa this year as well. I expect to be seeing a lot of Melissa times at the state meet this year. But, it just takes a great game plan. I'm not trying to talk PG up, I'm just telling you from the perspective of a fan from a school that is consistently known for producing speed. You should have seen us in 03. Talk about fast.

Is it Friday yet? I'm ready for the 20-23rd. Going to be a great week, regardless of who makes it.

Yep sounds pretty lucky to me. Yall will be lucky to get 20 yards in the third quarter this week.

Rusk and Gilmer said the same. lol. They ALL say the same thing. It’s like ground hog day except we keep winning lol. But wait PG is a different beast right? *sigh. Ready for this “beast”.  Good day.

It really is a different team though Rusk and Gilmer doesn't have defense compared to PG. And every team says the same thing about PG so y'all ain't alone.

One more time for the people in the back! They can’t hear you.

Nobody has ever said the Melissa CAN'T win this game, we have just said that they WON"T win this game.

If you think PG is anything like Rusk or Gilmer then you are sadly mistaken. They are a completely different animal, especially in physicality.

PG will light your tail up, and do it over and over again. And they do it on both sides of the ball.

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth, and the Hawks will punch you in the mouth repeatedly.

It’s 2 underdogs going head to head . 2 teams hungry for the win and out to prove themselves. 2 teams who have worked extremely hard to get this far. It’s going to be one hell of a game . I will ride for Melissa till the end. Gosh Friday can’t come soon enough why is this week dragging ??

It seems like PG and Melissa have a lot in common. We both have been underestimated, we both have knocked off good teams, and we both think that everyone else is hype. Now both of these teams are going to face each other and all the doubts will be settled Friday night. Ya'll have repeatedly said the Melissa is a 2nd half team and they can make adjustments to come out the second half and put up points. That's great and it takes good coaches and smart players to be able to do that but PG has no set pattern, we do what works until it doesn't, and then we change it up. If you adjust in the second half for what was going on in the first half, what happens when the second half doesn't look like the first? Some teams are said to be one-dimensional, PG is multi-dimensional in a sneaky way. We run until ya'll bite then we throw until ya'll back up then we run again. We have proven to be unstoppable, we are undefeated. Melissa has lost one to "first game jitters." Our players are able to turn that nervousness into energy and sure we can get the jitters but when we do, we still win.

Keys to the game: PG will play their best game of the year, eliminate turnovers, sell the fakes, and play full tilt Hawk football from the first whistle to last. Don't think our big ol linemen will get tired quick, we don't get tired, we don't quit, and we don't lose. Passing will be very difficult for Melissa, our corners are smart and athletic, our safeties are fast and strong, and our LBs have flak cannons for arms...you can't throw over them without something falling from the sky. I expect PG to cause turnovers, execute the offense with perfection, and make great plays on special teams.

And to top it all off, PG is stronger. Somebody post that PG 2017 preseason hype video!!!
