I cant hardly wait for Friday to get here so I can look back at all these post from PG dad and Hawk888 or whatever and remind them of how insane their post are.  I mean you would think that PG got their offense straight from God! for crying out loud it a wing T special wing T blah blah blah. PG is making it easy for the Chain Gang Defense!

Hold your horses player, what did I say that was insane?

100% agree. I think that is exactly what is going to happen. What has worked in the past against Wing-T teams will not work, so they change it up, still doesnt work, try something else, still doesnt work, frustration sets in and the scores stop happening. Same thing on WOS D. Our offense is next level, tricky, and mulit-dimensional. What has worked against many (40) other teams, won't work against the Hawks. I know they are a good team and I am not talking smack, I just don't think they are as good as us.

What many PG fans fail to realize is that the Wing-T and Slot-T are prevalent in SETX. WOS will not be fooled like the majority of teams that PG has played. WOS will play disciplined defense against the Hawks. PG won't "trick" their way to 40 points. They will have to earn every one of them.

With all due respect Chuck , WOS looks pretty vanilla on offense. The Defense speaks for itself but the WOS offense has not been that impressive

Even I have to say PGDad, If the Hawks put up 38 ill go nuts! There is simply not any teams that put up that number against WOS. I can be wrong like I have been a lot this year with Melissa and Graham and Tatum and Aubrey,, well lets just say these Hawks are shocking me in a lot of games. I certainly did not see the 55-14 blowout over LE on LE's homecoming. Hawks need to hold WOS to 14 or less. Ill say PG 14-WOS 10.

I plan on being nuts all day long:) I have every confidence in this team and it's been hard for me to get excited this year. This is a team of destiny and it's like watching a movie unfold before my eyes, a movie I already know the end to. I am excited, don't get me wrong, I cheer and freak out like the rest of Hawk Nation but I am not surprised.

Someone said in an earlier post something akin to "Ya'll are new to winning, what happened last year and the year before?" Well, that's a story I am saving for after the championship but in a nutshell, when Gibson came, he promised improvement every year and this is the result of that vision combined with the heart and soul of many hungry young men.

This is true.  There's not much about PG's offense that is unique to WO-S.  The added element of a very efficient passing game is a different twist, in my opinion, but nothing else is unique about it.  I do think PG has a man-on-man advantage in a lot of spots on the field, but the Mustangs have feasted on teams that run this offense.  It'll be interesting to see if PG's offense will be able to impose their will on the Chain Gang unlike some of the other teams they've faced.

The other side of the ball will tell the tale, in my opinion.  PG will have to keep contain on the QB and RB, keeping pressure on him, and make him pass.  This side of the ball may be the biggest difference maker, in my opinion.

I mean it takes a special kind of stupid to think y’all have a wing-t that is different or better than we have ever seen.  Your size doesn’t mean anything.  Our boys have never been tired.  Our offense does enough to win and that’s all that needs to be done.  Every week we play bigger lineman.  Y’all are in for a huge wake up call and some major crow.  But I’m sure you will run for the hills when the game is over.  When we beat y’all  what will you say then.  Wow, we weren’t as good as I thought or wow that WOS team was every bit as good as the hype.

We have seen a bunch of so-called passing teams out of the Wing-T...I can assure you as much as we practice against the formation in our district and beyond it wont be anything new. You seem to think that we played against 6 man teams all those 40 wins. Some of those victories came against teams like Port Neches-Groves, Nederland, Kennedale (back-to-back years), among others. We can score at anytime from any direction with our speed, maybe you can, maybe you can't. Time will tell. Should be a great game.

Well, I've watched some game video and some highlights.

PG 38

WOS no more than 21, probably less.

Also,

What's up with this Chain Gang nickname? I don't get it. Doesn't a Chain Gang move the chains? Aren't defenses supposed to stop the chains from moving? We've been called the Blackhawk D, Black Plague D, Hawk Headhunters, Fat Boy Gang, etc Someone please explain...

WOS is going to have a hard time stopping our front 7 all game. The big boys up front don't get tired like ya'll are used to and as the game goes on, they will wear your O line out and cause too much trouble for yall to pull out the W. Our secondary should be fine, I dont think yall will make it to them very much anyways. I think size matters in this case, WOS doesn't have the size to keep up.

No doubt WOS is a good team and the test will come Friday. We are up to the task and then some.

Hmmmm OKAY.......

OMG, we have been told for 30 years that we don't have the size and all we do is WIN!. See how much those 300 pounders have left after chasing our guys all over the line. There won't be 38 points scored combined in this game. No way PG gets over 3 tds and I don't think they will get that IMO. We are called the chain gang because each player is a link, and together they are unbreakable. Been a tradition a long time.

But...I will expand on my thought...

I know it's bold but from what I have watched, I don't think WOS has a counter for our offense. If I could rephrase my comment. I think it would be shocking if WOS holds PG to ONLY 38.

I will take all you can beg, borrow or steal on PG UNDER 38.  And I don’t bet anymore.  But that’s free money and I can afford all you can put together.

You sure those people aren’t little league champs? I mean, those kind know it all.

Absolutely lol.  Probably had a stellar undefeated season as pop warner coaches.  Of course at WOS, they are running the Mustang system even at that level.  So they aren’t even smart enough to connect those dots 🙄

When you’re giving up 9 ppg you don’t need a prolific offense, thus the reasoning for vanilla playcalling.

That man-on-man advantage is the only thing that matters and we have the advantage.

Once again a pointless poster that has to result to name calling. Nothing about this post adds to the conversation. He obviously lacks the intelligence to put together a comprehensive post so he posts like a 5th grader. Bring a little more to the table when you post here buddy or go back to your own crappy little SE LA site.

Good luck with that...Victories against teams like who? Nobody significant. Kennedale maybe but I think we would take them out too.

Yeah, that's silly. Our 300 lbs guys won't have to chase anybody, plus we've got one that plays soccer and the others are just as conditioned as him. Ya'll got the guys playing both ways...I'm sure ya'll will wear out before us.

Yeah, we do the same thing...WOS and PG have a lot in common. Difference is that ya'll are old school and on your way out.

So you’re saying PG won’t be a one hit wonder?

I don't know about one hit wonder but I do know that this is the best team to come out of PG, possibly Texarkana. If all of the WOS stark posters are correct, then this is the beginning (actually the middle) of us becoming relevant.

Really? That's why ya'll are called the Chain Gang?!?!? LOLOLOLOLOL Wow...that's  the suckiest nickname ever. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and you guys have several. Chain Gang holy #### lolololol

I can see PG being relevant for as long as they continue with the same Coaching Staff and continue with the same formula. They have hit on something that they do well and that fits their talent.

Pg people seem to think the slot-t is their ticket to beating everyone.  You get big guys on the line and try to win with trickery and it tends to equal out the talent level with the other teams. It can be very confusing offense to play against when you have never seen it and each team usually tweaks it to some degree to their talent. However, once it has been seen year after year and people know how to prepare for it those teams usually drop back down to the level they were. We have the seen the offense for several years multiple times a year. Now ya'll may have the talent and skill to run it better than all those other teams we have seen. If so, I will shake your hand and say ya'll are better. IMO the 52 defense is kinda the kryptonite for that offense. If you don't run it 100% better than all the other teams we have seen, you are in trouble.

I have no doubt that your defense will give us problems, the problem PG faces is it only takes 1 missed tackle or one missed assignment and it could be a big score. It is gonna be won by who makes the least amount of turnovers, the least amount of penalties.
