Chris Matthews Has A New Thrill Up His Legā€¦

Quick Hit ā€“ Chris Matthews Fawns Over Beto Vanity Fair Cover ā€“ ā€˜Thatā€™s the Image You Wantā€™

Ā

Matthews displayed the cover of the magazine and claimed it was the ā€œbest kiss Iā€™ve seen for a candidate in a long time. I always say the candidate wins whoā€™s got the sun in his face, who looks like sunny, optimistic, not the indoor bureaucrat sitting at some desk somewhere. Thatā€™s the image you want.ā€

ā€œHeā€™s not mistaken when so many of the liberal media, for example, described themselves as belonging to the Resistance. What does that mean? Thatā€™s not said by people who consider themselves reporters, objective reporters of facts. Thatā€™s the kind of language thatā€™s used by people who genuinely believe, and I rather suspect with some justification, that Donald Trump is bad for the United States.ā€

This ain't Pat Buchanan saying this, or some Fox News commentator...Ā  this is Ted ####ing Koppel.Ā

Good article, I am just surprised more of the older, half way legitimate journalists like Koppel haven't spoken out about the lame stream media's anti-Trump bias ... it's as thick as ants on a pileĀ  of dog doodoo ....Ā

Media FOIA requests spiked after Trump election

Quote

AM8Vy03.pngĀ yz8yWE5.png

The number of Freedom of Information Act requests the Environmental Protection Agency received from mainstream outlets such as theĀ New York TimesĀ andĀ Washington PostĀ spiked immediately after Republican President Donald Trump took office, according to aĀ Free Beacon analysis of FOIA requests by the media from 2013 to the present.

The figures, obtained through the government'sĀ FOIA online database, reveal a clear increase in requests for information from the agency once Trump was elected president.

TheĀ New York Times, for example, made just 13 FOIA requests during the four years of Obama's second term, sending 3 in 2013, 1 in 2014, 7 in 2015, and 2 in 2016. The number of FOIA requests theĀ TimesĀ sent for Obama's entire second term was nearly quadrupled in the first year of Trump's presidency alone, when theĀ TimesĀ sent 59 FOIA requests to the EPA.

Reporters at theĀ TimesĀ have made 100 FOIA requests since Trump took office just over two years ago, a 669 percent increase of the number of FOIA requests it made during the four years of Obama's second term.

Reporters at theĀ Washington PostĀ sent just a single FOIA request to the EPA during Obama's entire second term, and have sent 43 FOIA requests to the agency since Trump took office.

The sharp increase in FOIA requests to the EPA was also apparent atĀ PoliticoĀ (15 requests in Obama's second term, 198 since Trump took office),Ā The HillĀ (20 requests in Obama's second term, 67 since Trump took office), CNN (25 requests in Obama's second term, 47 since Trump took office),Ā BuzzfeedĀ (18 requests in Obama's second term, 38 since Trump took office), and ABC News (4 requests in Obama's second term, 32 since Trump took office).

As a former journalist, this is a disgrace...Ā

This shows that the press was willing to accept the information from the Obama Administration as truth, without doing any investigative journalism. Ā In my opinion, they should do a thorough job in all of their reporting, and not give any President a pass just because they say their administration was going to be transparent. Ā That was one big lie. Ā https://fas.org/blogs/secrecy/2017/11/obama-transparency/Ā Ā

Ā

The requests shot up under President Trump, because who could trust him ? Ā I didn't at first. Ā I would like to see the requests based on Presidents in the past just to see where he ranks. Ā I'm fairly Ā sure it would be near the top if not the highest because of all the fact checking that is done on him. Ā What's hilarious is even with some of the things that they say he lies about are simply speculation on what could potentially be a lie, and not that it actually is at the time. Ā Take for instance net neutrality that people were saying was going to destroy the internet as we know it. Ā It turned out to be a big bag of nothing. Ā Today the hot topic is immigration, yet since 1980 - 1986Ā and then from 1996-Ā 2016 we had a border crisis from both sides of the aisle. Ā Ā President Reagan used amnesty to shut them up about it. Ā That didn't work. Ā Nothing was said during the Bush Sr. years, because he was still enacting that law. Ā President Obama lied about that : Ā https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2014/11/24/did-george-h-w-bush-really-shield-1-5-million-illegal-immigrants-nope/?utm_term=.86123827f959. Ā Today President Trump wants to secure the border with a wall, which should be done, but they're saying there's no emergency. Ā When I read articles in these same publications that 750 to the thousands are at border checkpoints everyday. Ā That's just in cities, and doesn't count those that are coming across where there is little to no border patrol presence. Ā The press is proving there is a crisis, yet talking out of the other side of their mouths that there isn't. Ā They are a pathetic lot. Ā

If you felt the need to provide them, why didnā€™t you do it?

That's one thing that the left fails to do in their side of a debate. Ā They simply say they are lies, but provide no proof except for an opinion based editorial with no substantive backing. Ā I want the facts. Ā In my opinion bring your facts to the table, and don't just go with your opinion based on someone else telling you it is so. Ā Prove that what you're saying is correct based on History and established facts. Ā Not let's be on the right side of History, because History has shown that what you desire for America has never worked anywhere else for more than 100 years. Ā

Was the EPA under Scott Pruitt forthcoming with information or not? Did you think that might be a consideration on why the increase came? Remember his sound proofed office?Ā

The EPA and the IRS are both so corrupt after being weaponized by the Obama administration, they should be disbanded.Ā

All the fake criminal accusations against President Obama & Hillary Clinton by right-wing radio and TV, and no charges filed.Ā  ENOUGH SAID !!!

Are we really sure that the accusations are false against Hillary Clinton?Ā Ā

There seemed to be a lot of stuff that pointed her way that just wasn't prosecuted because of who she is...Ā  Which, if you go back in history, is true for A LOT of former powerful government officials....

Then file charges.Ā  Oh wait courts have to go by facts, not conspiracies.Ā

I have read that the Justice Department has 70,000 sealed indictments that should be handed down soon; Hopefully, GITMO will be full of these people & they will be removed from society, permanently...Ā
