CENTEXFAN
You forgot the part where college is raising rates up so much because they know kids can get loans and grants.  Yes, I'm seeing more kids putting up loans thinking govt. will forgive/payoff debt. They don't want to look like fools paying off debt with their money while their friends loans are paid off by taxpayers. I've told them that is not going to happen. Its complicated, and tied to the banking industry.
Hagar
The average American doesn’t know a recession from a banzai charge.  And if any of you bothered reading the article, including CTEX, it didn’t say 40% thought we were in a recession.  It said, 40% said we’re in a recession or, will be in one in 12 months.  Back again to our lack of economic knowledge.  For most Americans, a recession is when your neighbors out of work.  A depression is when you’re out of work.  Economics is not an exact science.  For instance, AOC has an economic degree from what I would have thought a respectable university, and she’s a Socialist.  Afraid most of that 40% are Trump haters, not financial experts.

True story.  Imo, Colleges are no longer institutions of higher learning, but money making operations.  Many employed at our universities are as greedy as the CEO’s of Industry they disdain. Now students are being told government will pay off loans sooner or later.  That only encourages students to charge everything.  Most students don't understand the depth of how debts and banking are intertwined together.

The boom has moved to the Permian Basin and I have some friends that moved with it and are making very good money. One guy just left the Waskom Enable Plant to go to work at in Odessa and I asked him is this move worth because you already have one of the top paying jobs in this area, he is single and said the pay is better plus they are providing for his housing.

Hagar
Big expansion at Beaumont’s ExxonMobil Refinery.  They’re having to advertise for construction workers.  I realize it’s just one area, but in the past, you’d see all kinds of out of state license plates coming down.  Most are busy in their own states.  That’s why I watched in disbelief, as in the Dem Debate, Dem after Dem talked about how bad the economy is.  Lying about it.  Evidently they have little regard for the intelligence of their base, or is their base that unintelligent?   So if you’re a Dem, and have sense enough to pour water out of a boot, you might want to think about it.  Of course, if their financial pie-in-the-sky figures on HC didn’t strike you as insane, just leave that boot full of water alone, or get a conservative friend to empty it for you.
