I get the whole trying to stay humble & grounded but this is Texas Tom.. there’s big expectations always & your suppose to be in position to compete for conference titles. If I was one of the players on the team, I would be a little bothered by this. Year 1 was terrible, year 2 win the games you should and be in the games you shouldn’t, year 3 win the conference, year 4 be in the playoffs. The teams goal this year was to compete for the Big12 with a program expectation of 8-9 wins and stack another top 5 recruiting class. They probably thought they could sweep the non-con and 6-3 of 5-4 in conference. They are ahead of schedule partly because the Big12 isn’t as good as we thought it would be and the Texas offense has out preformed expectations. Think about this: Texas is a 2-pt conversion from being in the top 10 and being talked about as a long shot playoff team.
