👎 Thanks Obama!

Recommended Posts

I listened to B. Hussein Obama's speech last night (or most of it). I was aghast. Is there anyone out there in SDC-land that really finds his chicken-in-every-pot philosophy appealing? Are there really people out there that think the government should (can) do MORE to equalize outcomes? That the POTUS should be responsible for improving education, making healthcare available to every man, woman and child, fixing the perceived mortgage crisis, etc. Really?

Typical liberal/socialist rhetoric that typical liberals/socialists love to hear from a man with a great speaking voice speaking in cliche's and tag lines. They love it.

Feel free to remind readers of his support for killing viable, 9 month babies via "late term abortions" (read: murder via loophole).

Yeah, he's clearly thinking of turning American into a socialist nation. He is all hat and no cows, ascending on nothing but charisma devoid of substance. To call him religious is like calling me compassionate. He is religious about maintaining his devotion to Africa and not America, dividing the nation along racial lines, and separating me from my hard-earned money so he can give it away (read: redistribution of wealth).

What does it tell you when you are the one to bring up the fact that he is African American?

It tells me that the poster is JRowe, replete with another Greek Lexicon screen name.

Benjamin = "son of the right hand"

Jacob's and Rachel's youngest son, Joseph's full brother

son of Bilhan, great-grandson of Benjamin

a Benjamite, one of the sons of Harim, in the time of Ezra who had taken a strange wife

the tribe descended from Benjamin, the son of Jacob

I win.

It just amazes me that people say that you will not vote for Obama cause he's black, but yet we never mention the fact that he is black. Instead we list 100 reasons why he would not make a good president and the issues that we differ on. It would not make a difference if Obama were white or green. His stance on America is still the same.

One thing is for sure, if is is going to be a racial uniter (of which I've seen no indication), if he is going to be committed/devoted to America, he is going to have to disavow his church. The tenants of said church are abundantly clear. They preach a devotion to Africa first.

Why is the media not making a big deal about this? Even Fox News, which has a pro-conservative/pro-America slant is leaving it untouched.

That's funny, that he is "african-american" is the ONLY thing appealing about the guy to me. As for his "religiosity", I can't help but wonder which of his traditions advocates murdering the unborn?

I was actually thinking of the same thing last night as I listened to Hllary speak. In her speech, she continually used the phrase "we can't wait to...for you." By "you", she was referring to the government.

Personally, I don't want the government to do anything for me, except to get out of my way and to ensure that when I call up Dominos that the guy who answers the phone and delivers my pizza speaks English.

Unfortunately, I don't think there are any candidates out there who share my thoughts.

And they will run out with that warm fuzzy feeling from all of that rhetoric and vote for him withou ever giving it a second thought. It is like they do not want to even try to think for themselves. They listen to all he says and the think" Well that sounds good enough for me. Let's go vote!" They do not even care to really check out his history to see if he lives up to his mouth! He don't!!!

Not everyone's politics are defined by their religion, Mr. Buchanan...

I don't kow about that one. Obama has tied himself up over that subject. That isn't really an opinion issue because that is one thing that has been pretty evident.

So why are you all so scared of him now, and not "Shrillary"?

The continual "B. Hussein Obama" thing is petty, shallow and xenophobic, by the way. The man is an American, black, white, or green... no?

I am equally as scared of one as I am the other. As I have said many times before his Muslim ties is not the only problem that I have with him and race has nothing to do with it for me. The negatives far exceed the positives. I do not desire for either of them to even grace the whitehouse door steps with their shadow. That would even be too close for me as far as being president goes. Hillary's shadow left nearly 8 years ago and need not return.

Hate to point this out to you, sport, but aghast and scared are not the same thing. As far as petty and shallow, I just call 'em like I see 'em. If you think it's xenophobic to cling to American values such as LIFE, liberty and the pursuit (not attainment) of happiness....guilty.

Why not type LIBERTY in all caps? There's two sides to this pancake. What, exactly have your lilly-white evangelical superfriends Reagan and Bush done to turn back Roe v. Wade?

It's not getting overturned. Fuhgetaboudit.

Reagan and Bush I didn't do enough in my opinion. Bush II apointed Roberts and Alito which is a pretty good step forward.

If you want to support a pro-abortion candidate, just go ahead on. The practice has its roots in racism and disproportionately wipes out minority babies. If you can forget about that...pity. Like I asked, which of your candidate's religious traditions supports his pro-abortion position? What about yours?

Roots in racism? Are white women not allowed to have abortions if they want them?

Two things about me: My politics are formed rationally, not defined by a 5,000 year old book of Hebrew fairy tails, and I think abortions should be harder, not easier to get. Still, I think people have a right to choose. LIBERTY?

I'm scared of him because he actually sincerely believes in what he says and every bit of it is dead wrong. Hillary will bend whichever way the political winds blow. Look what happened the last time she tried to cram socialized medicine down our throats. As soon as it became apparent the American public wasn't going to stand still for it, she and Bill changed directions so fast they both got whiplash. He is SO MUCH more dangerous than Hillary.

And, by the way, B. Hussein Obama does happen to actually be his name. If that's petty, shallow or xenophobic, talk to his mom and dad. They gave it to him.

AND - Mr. Race Card - I don't care if he's black. Hell, I'd rather have Alan Keyes than any of the Republican candidates, and he's TWICE as black as Obama. It's just that he's American only by birth, and Muslim to the core.

So, Mr. Carville, point out to me in my post where I said they were. My comment about ihs devotion to Africa has nothing to do with his political affiliation. It has everything to do with his core beliefs. He, by definition of his church affiliation and by assertion of their beliefs on their webpage, is a racist, espousing a devotion to Africa and the Black man. Let McCain express the same thoughts about white men and see how long he lasts politically.

Right there... Do you disavow your church when you eat cheeseburgers on Friday?

Too bad America was founded by Puritans. If you brought religion into a political debate in Britain they would think you were crazy. Which you are. Definitely.
