Predicted scores according to Calpreps:

Kilgore 38, Pine Tree 28

Carthage 31, Marshall 14

Henderson 31, Jacksonville 21

Argyle 58, Chapel Hill 12

Lindale 26, Van 21

Palestine 35, Rusk 34

I would say Chapel Hill has the biggest challenge. Van most competitive. The rest are favorites.

I wonder if Lindale is moving down this realignment? That would be a great addition to this district. They are usually solid. I think Lindale would have a lot of success in 4a.

Is carthage in for D2. I wonder about Bullard as well. Chapel Hill showed some big numbers last time.

Carthage is gonna be close. But I bet the UIL will set the number for them to be DI. I guess it just depends how high the top number is for 4a DI, and how many teams drop from 5a DII. 4a DI is already the smallest division if I remember correctly.

Van had a higher enrollment number than Carthage on the last realignment. Have they lost kids? Carthage has 794 and Van had 807. Next realignment will be interesting seeing where the cutoffs are.

Apparently Van's senior class is giant and was the factor in the 807(and thus D2).  The next one's moving up are significantly smaller in enrollment numbers. I don't think it's losing kids, but more a natural fluctuation in the class size.

Chapel Hill gets bonus points for scheduling Argyle, but only 7 points after that.

Palestine convincing win over Rusk.

Kilgore checks off their "win a shootout" box.

Carthage handles Marshall.

Henderson goes blows out a team that scored 40 on the Lions.

Van had the most convincing win of the night over Lindale.
