If somehow Brock wins the 3A title, their best player Rylee Lavender might have a shot (if she has two good games) at a 3A Player of the Year honor.  She's signed with Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR.  What's amazing is that Ouachita Baptist would already have two other Texas "Players of the year" signed: TJ Cole of Pleasant Grove (Padilla Poll Texas 4A DII Offensive player of the year) and Caleb Porchia, also of TXK PG (Padilla Poll Texas 4A DII Defensive player of the year, TSWA 4A Defensive player of the year).

Don't know if things will go well for Ms. Lavender and her team (though they came out smelling like roses in their tough region over Canadian, Colorado, Jim Ned, Wall, Idalou, etc.) but if they do and she gets an honor, I wonder if any non Division I school (let alone an out of state one) has ever signed 2 Texas football POYs and a Texas basketball POY in the same season?

Good call, MavGrad99.  Knew MV would be tough and Brock made some adjustments.  BHS didn't do well in the first half and put a comeback out of reach.

I wasn't taking any shots at Brock, but the 2 times I saw them this year against less talented teams, they still seemed to be missing something...
