You know decker reads smoaky and probably wouldn’t like you putting his name out there like that, true or not.  With all the support that’s been generated for the other guy, I don’t think he’d like si

Interviews start Monday. Word in the street ... DA was seen in Title town yesterday talking to a Realtor.

Daingerfield is a hard-nosed town and needs a hard nosed coach.  Barry Bowman didn't take #### off of any of those kids.  He didn't take it from his coaches either.  Daingerfield won with him.  Hugg b

It’s just amazing to me that dfield would have a guy who’s getting drunk and in bar fights (he lost by the way) at a coaches clinic in contention. Just so lol and embarrassing. That van ride home had to be awkward af.

You want to hire a guy who relates to kids and  is passionate about the sport. Thinks and talks ball 24/7. Dfield had their shot and screwed it up. So pathetic. Had a wide open layup and missed it. Enjoy mediocrity.

Agree. You want a coach who wants to learn and get better. Constantly talking ball, talking to other coaches about ball, going to clinics to learn and just wanting to get better.

DA and Mason not being a finalist is laughable, but then again when the town is divided 4 ways it’s hard for them to get chance.

If DField wants what best, don’t ask washed up towns people, go ask the kids who are going into battle every Friday night who/ what they would like. They will tell you

This appears to be a dumpster fire not even Nick Saban could put out. From the outside looking in it seems like to many personal agendas and divided towns people. Winning is great but overall in all the sports less than 5% will play at the next level. Any school needs someone that will teach these young boys and girls life lesson and prepare them for life after high school. That will go alot father in life than sports. But again I'm just looking in from a few miles away.... Carry on folks

Saban, bowman, and Alexander all called about the job. They wer all told not to apply. Alexander did anyway and was given a courtesy interview.

Just read in a book about being successful and being significant...

“A successful coach will have wins and trophies in the school trophy case, but a significant coach will have players who come back and visit them because he/she made a difference in their life. A “real” coach strives to be significant”

When that coach is significant, that’s when the kids will go all out and run through a brick wall for you. Then and only then will you start having success.
